It will serve you well
I am a fan of notebook (and also a pen-addict.. there a worse addiction, right?!), I usually use Moleskine notebooks.I wanted to find a good alternative, and I have to say that this Silvine Executive Notebook is brilliant, it looks nice and feels nice, and the price is fantastic for the quality!Nice yellow-ish colour lined paper (slightly larger than the equivalent Moleskine), 29 lines per page that are 7mm apart, the notebook opens widely and lies flat on its own, great for notes on your travels or at work. The cover feels less like leather than more expensive notebooks, but the build quality is excellent and very solid.Additional positive aspect: it was delivered on time and in great condition.I highly recommend it to who is looking for a good alternative to more expensive notebooks.

Why is this so good?
I recently spent too much money on a badly bound "Perfectly Penned" diary. Looks posh with its faux leather, but the binding is bumpy and there's nothing special about the paper. Pukka Pads work with a fountain pen, too.So now I ordered one of these; I needed a thinner diary for an 8-week training course. What lousy treatment I gave to a cheaper, and cheaper-looking, diary? This has flat, tight binding; the paper is certainly not one bit worse, if not better, than in my larger, personal diary. So the cover is a little more 'tacky', but the diary inside is of superior quality. This one DOES excel over a Pukka Pad, and it's very neatly bound. Ink (I do use extra-fine nib, though) does not bleed through any more, and it is perfectly possible to use both sides of each sheet. And 'tacky' is an exaggeration; it's still a neat-looking book. These will be my diaries of choice from now on. Unbeatable at this price (I paid £4.02 incl. prime evening delivery). It doesn't get better than that. Okay, fewer pages than the other diary, but at a fraction of the price, and doing the maths roughly in my head, I'm paying about the same per page, alas a properly bound one that has not bumps. As a last note: Because the cover is very rigid, the fewer pages and thinner book are actually easier to use. Too thick a diary and/or too soft a cover, make it very difficult to write on the thinner side, be that the LHS at the beginning, or the RHS towards the end. So, another bonus!SUPERB & PERFECT!

Good Choice for a notebook
This is a great notebook. I use a Moleskine Diary and this is almost up to the same standard. The paper is very similar and fine if written on with a fountain pen.It has a folder at the back and an elasticated band to hold it closed.I'd say the cover material is as good as Moleskine as well.At £4 vs £11 for the Moleskine product there is no contest - it's even slightly wider.I'm very happy with my choice.

A Modest, Reliable and Sleek Journal.
Rather from the point of a collector, (Found in other reviews) I will take the role of the writer.A simple summary: It does the job, looks nice, easily carried around, great for jotting down notes on the fly and cheap... If you want a journal to write in look no further because it does what it says on the tin. Now, I've personally bought multiple of these Journals in different colours for various purposes. The variety of colours are great. The actual feel of the Journal is smooth and gives the whole vintage leather appearance without forking up the cash to actually buy a leather product. When It comes to the paper it's fairly hardened which is great because it stops from the pages tearing easily. With 29 lines on each page around a hundred pages in total you can get a fair amount of writing material inside... To sum up, great price, great journal, they arrive on time and in great condition. (My personal experience at least.)

Nice.
A nice item with a soft look, slightly marbled cover. The paper is an ivory colour and thick enough that ink can't pass through it easily. The lines are of a pale grey so, don't distract from the writing process. A real beauty to write on sold by a company that cares about its customers; I've had an order of Four of these books go missing in the post and the company sorted out another parcel for me with no problems.

Best notebook I have seen for client meetings etc
This is definitely the best notebook I have used. It basically looks and feels like a Moleskin but it's considerably cheaper. The paper is nice and thick, a pouch at the back is useful for important docs / business cards, and it looks professional.I would definitely recommend this and will use it again.

Slightly larger than the equivalent Moleskine
I wanted a notebook to record my weight training diary but found the mid sized Moleskine notebook to be a similar price to the Exercise Journal I used to use.The notebook from Silvine is slightly larger than the Moleskine version, though it only has 160 (thicker) pages compared to Moleskine's 240 pages. Both have the fabric bookmark, the pocket at the back and the elastic strap to keep the book closed. The Silvine has a soft leather look cover that is identical in quality to the Moleskine. To be honest, I would prefer the Moleskine but I'm not prepared to pay the high price.
