Great colour. Bad colour bleeding!
I used Rubine mixed with a good dollop of Rose Red. My hair is light brown with very light blonde natural streaks and I have bleach on my lengths.I like Directions and Crazy Color for fun colour changes. I find Directions less runny, so chose it this time for a messy red colour change!Easy to apply. I do it on damp hair with gloves, like applying a thorough conditioning mask, just because I hate messing about with brushes etc. I combed it through and piled on top my head and out a shower cap on. Left for about half an hour.I got a lovely shiny rich burgundy on the light brown parts and bright, deep fuchsia on my bleached lengths and lighter bits. HOWEVER, the water NEVER ran remotely clear and the colour was coming off on everything...clothes, bedding, face.Despite liking the colour I washed it about 8 times over a few days with dandruff shampoo to try and get the excess leaking colour off (maybe used too much colour? 🤷🏽♀️).The darker parts have faded a fair bit, and the excess dye on my scalp has gone, the ends remain vibrant fuchsia. The transfer of colour has stopped a bit, but I still get some staining on clothes and bedding and the water is bright pink when I wash my hair. So, the colour and shine is gorgeous. I got a nice even result (I knew my bleached ends would be mega bright of course) However, I could only whole heartedly recommend if you never a) ☔ get caught in the rain b) ⛹️♀️work up a sweat c) 🏊♀️ swim d) like nice bedding. At the moment I have to carefully choose my clothing and activities! It's worth saying that most of this excess colour is probably coming from my bleached lengths as it's more porous of course, and if your hair is all previoisly undyed it probably won't be quite so dramatic. The dye does come off fairly well from most things btw, eventually, but don't risk your best white anything for goodness sake!!If you don't go into the great outdoors/swim and never intend on getting sweaty, then no problem! 😉Please tap "Helpful" ⬇️ if my review has been useful or interesting.Thank you! 🙂 Makes me feel I'm not completely talking to myself here 😂All my reviews are genuine and I always update them if I have any issues further down the line with the item.Consumer power! 💪How do we know if something's any good unless genuine people leave reviews?

Flamingo Pink
I have naturally dark brown, almost black hair. I have bleached ends so I intended to just put the colour on those bits. From reading other reviews I figured it would be pointless to put it on the unbleached hair, but I blended a bit up anyway and it actually took very well. I was expecting the colour to wash out in one or two shampoos but this picture is after 4 washes and it’s still as vibrant as it was the day I did it.

Does what it says on the tin
Perfect purchase. Haven’t washed my bar yet but colour is just right. Probably need 2 tubs for the amount of hair I have

Directions Plum on Unbleached dark brown hair
I've wanted purple hair for ages but not allowed unnatural colours at work, so I only wanted a temporary colour.I bought Directions Plum after doing some research, I have dark brown hair and wasn't willing to bleach. I use henna and indigo usually for a burgundy brown. My hair is waist length so I used 2 pots and left it for 2 hours. It was a bit drippy and fairly messy (the only reason I haven't given 5 stars). My shower cubicle looked like I'd murdered a Smurf! It did clean off with bleach. However, the colour has come out really nicely, much better than I expected. I didn't expect it to be very visible because my hair is so dark. Indoors it looks almost black but outside the purple shows up in the sunshine. My hair is soft and shiny. I haven't noticed any transfer of colour or staining, but I did change my pillowcase just in case. Photos show before (first pic) and after indoors and outside. I've only washed it once so far so not sure how long it will last.Update : faded to burgundy while I was on holiday, I could still see the colour washing out of my hair but it was less obvious. I'd say it has lasted 2 weeks (washing every 2-3 days).

Tulip is a gorgeous and vibrant colour
I LOVE this, I use "Tulip" I have very dark brown hair so I do have to use a prelightener/bleach first. I like to do a gradient of 3 different colours so I use the Tulip all over then use a slightly darker pink on top few inches and an indigo/blue on the tips while leaving the mid section the "Tulip" shade. I shoulder length hair have managed to get one whole head coverage and 4 touch ups of the middle 4 inches just from one small pot!! Doesn't fade too quickly either, but best advise is use a gentle shampoo and keep the shower running cool when you rinse as using hot water will make the colour run quicker.

Didn't work
Recently bleached my hair, wanted it white/grey but as always, it went yellow. Expected this, so I bought the silver colour dye to remove the brassy/yellow tones. Now I have a kind of weird gradient between yellow at the root and blue on the ends, but Definitely no silver/grey. The yellow/blue combo isn't exactly what I was hoping for, so kind of annoyed. Going to have to spend even more money trying to silverize my hair.I'd like to add though, I've used directions for years, and the coloured dyes work amazingly. I love that you can mix them and create your own colours, they are so so gentle and conditioning on hair and as long as your hair is bleached they are amazingly vibrant. Just a shame the silver didn't work.

Male guy review
Pro and con sidesI brought three colours orange ... Blue ... And purpleUsed dye on light grey dyed hair / blondFirstly definitely worth the money I only had to use a little and I have loads left it's almost like I haven't even used any that's how much I have left in each pot so a little does go a long way you don't have to use loads and loads other wise you are wasting the productThe smellJust like others have said all of my colours I brought smell almost like play dough but it actually smells nice ...Hair quality after ... This dye didn't actually damage my hair at allSo the only con is human error lol this dye will stain everything and anything ie skin ... I didn't realize but my sink tap got dyed and I managed to get it off but I would Imagen getting this product on material would definitely ruin it maybe forever luckily I didn't get it on any materialBesides that I recomend this product everything is grate and worth the buy
