I can see what I'm doing.
I can see what I'm doing without struggling to look through a small area of bi-focal. They (mostly) stay in place if you need to contort to get a view on something. They're comfortable to wear. I knocked one star off because as others have noted, there is distortion out toward the edges that can make you feel a bit trippy, though I don't think that can be fixed with this design/style. Because they are "full frame" sighted you need to take them off when not doing close up work. Note that these will stop stuff zipping direct into your eyes, but brick/wood dust in the air can still fall behind them and get in your eyes. If you need that kind of protection get full-on goggles or a full face mask respirator jobbie. They have a good price point in comparison to many others I looked at. So far I cannot comment on the durability as I try to avoid doing things that cause shrapnel, and as I don't mistreat them I haven't noticed any scuffing or marking.

Quite Good
Found these to be far less cumbersome and more comfortable than wearing safety overglasses in addition to prescription glasses. In that respect it is quite light weight. It is not fully comfortable however; the arms are pinching towards the rear so maybe a heat gun or hair drier andre-bending the shape of the arms will help. The nose pads are not adjustable; I assume that because it was not mentioned, unlike the Constructor Ultimate model. I would have bought the Ultimate model in the first place but only found bi-focals in that model. Reason I didn't buy that model because some reviews mentioned that owing to ?? small area of +Dioptre focal part, they had to tilt their head this way and that so as to get the benefit of magnification onto whatever they wished to look at.

Ideal safety glasses
These are ideal safety glasses. With my eyesight worsening with age they help so much with detailed work. They fit well and are very comfortable.

Overall first impression is impressive.
First impressions are good as they look and feel well made. The neck cord is particularly substantial with a large adjusting ball on it, ideal for big fingers. The lenses are good for reading, though not quite as good as my prescription glasses, but then these are a fraction of the price and primarily for use as safety glasses. Best focusing area is in the middle of the lenses. The curved nature of the lenses distort the view though its only really noticeable when looking at my iPad screen, it looks a little concave, the sides diverge upwards and the keyboard gets more narrow the nearer it gets to me, which is all a little weird. I bought these primarily to take with me when I go fishing as they stay firmly on my head while Im looking down and are more likely not to break when they are in my bag. The lenses are anti-fog and it works, as I tested them while cooking with steamy saucepans. I think I will prefer using these rather than my prescription safety glasses (they have a lens that falls out, loose hinges on the arms, plastic ear cover pieces that have come off the ends of the arms and a neck cord that keeps falling off). The only downside to these safety reading glasses is that they don't come with a bag or case, so I will have to find one.

Good eye protection and being able to see better close up. Things can look curved due to the lens.
Good eye protection and seeing better close up, particularly when grinding where you'd struggle with ordinary specs . They can allow grind sparks in at the bottom as there's a gap where they don't fit snug on your face, they could do with being the same design as the voltX bifocal safety specs, which I find are a more snug fit. Things can look curved due to the curve of the lens but I think that goes with the territory. They do scratch so be careful and only clean with warm soapy water. Although anti fog they can still mist up a bit. Although they're not perfect they're a good solution to the problem, reasonably priced and I would buy them again. Having the voltX bifocal as well I find them better for certain things.

Very necessary for ageing eyes
As a person of advancing age I have difficulty in seeing detail close-up (presbyopia caused by hardening of the lens of the eye). So when working with power tools I need optical correction to see safely what I am doing, but reading glasses do not provide the best protection. These safety glasses work very well to allow me to see clearly. I purchased a set of 1.0 dioptre for general work, and 2.0 dioptre for closer work (I use 2.5 dioptre reading glasses). Having used them to lay an oak floor (involving the use of a mitre saw, a circular saw, and a nail gun) I can report that they are just what I need, and I feel much more confidence in having proper eye protection. They are more convenient for me than bifocals, since I need the whole field of view corrected. When I look up to find something at a distance, I just take them off and let them hang on the provided cord. Quality is very good, this is an excellent price, and delivery was extremely fast - ordered on Friday and arrived on Monday.

Great but last 2 pairs arrived from Amazon with small scratches in lens
These are my main reading glasses for both working and reading the computer screen, phone etc. They're great, but the last 2 pairs I've tried to buy from Amazon have both had small scratches in one lens directly in front of my eye. Tiny nicks, but upsets my clear view of the screen. Being poorly packaged in a light plastic bag is probably the problem.

what I expected
I use them for ocean paddling- can't see clearly in the distance with regular sunglasses; prescription glasses would cost at least $400. I don't understand what is the big deal of making sports sunglasses [polaroid/UV protection] that have diopters for those who need to see clearly at a distance.

Clearly the BEST of its kind among the few manufacturers of full lens reading safety glasses
These glasses are clearly the BEST of their kind among the few manufacturer's of full lens reading safety glasses. Unlike the others, such as those from Elvex and Grinder-Punch, these VoltX Safety Readers have one-piece stems with a decent degree of flexibility and seemingly sturdier stem hinges (although even these hinges may be the weak point with these glasses, but these are still relatively better). In addition, the stems have soft rubber ear pads and the nose-rest is also made of the same comfortable flexible rubber (hard plastic with the Elvex and Grinder-Punch readers). Most importantly, the lens clearly are a bit better quality than the competition, including the anti-fog lens coating; and the overall comfort level wearing these glasses is clearly the best (by about 15 - 20%). I use the full lens safety readers as large computer screen readers (50" 4K screen--at arm's length viewing) and they're excellent--the view is like not wearing glasses because the eyeglass frame is not within the field of view. After several years purchasing Elvex and Grinder-Punch full lens safety readers, which do perform well, their stems and/or stem hinges eventually break. These VoltX readers are simply better in every way--although, having only just purchased my first Voltex glasses only a month ago, it will take time to confirm long-term durability, but that already seems to be very likely. I'm buying a spare pair right now. I only wish I could find a full lens pair of safety glasses that have real glass lens and more permanent (3+ year) frames.
