My Koi carp say YES
I've used this product before, routinely changing circa 10 % of my 3000 gal Koi carp pond water each week. The treated water quality is OK on testing providing the flow limits are maintained. Had the last filter nearly three years but will never know how long it would have lasted as, unfortunately, I dropped it and the clear plastic outer case shattered. You do not want to do that as the small carbon 'balls' go everywhere. Simple to use but I do reverse flow direction to prevent channeling occurring.

Stop putting chemicals in your pond and buy one of these!
A friend of mine recommended I buy one of these - it means you can top up your pond/do water changes without the need of adding chemicals. The only thing you must make sure you do is make sure the water does not flow through it too quickly otherwise the carbon does not have enough time to filter the water effectively - and you don't want your fish swimming in chlorine water as it burns them. I worked out the flow of water the tap needs to be opened to (you can easily work it out with a timer an a bottle) and then put a mark on the wall where the tap should be to make sure every time you use it, the water is flowing at the correct rate. Depending on how often you use it, you will also need to a carbon test at some point to check the carbon is still effective/find out when this needs replacing - for me it is going to be a good number of years. This is one of those purchases where you wish you knew about it sooner so I would definitely would recommend this - your fish will thank you for it too!

Full satisfaction buy
These filters are very good providing you use them correctly, and fill or top up your water feature at the recommended litres per minute, so be sure you have a water meter, they are cheap enough to buy, also when finished drain and put away somewhere frost proof I have used these for many years now for my koi pond the bottled water treatment price would be horrendous. Also they are so easy to use and come with the hose fittings included.

Great product
Change every year, I like the ease of switch over and the disposable no hassle option. It doesn't cost much more than changing carbon yourself, in one of the big blue units...

Treated water
Second one of these. Wouldn't fault it. My original simply ran out! So much more convenient than dispensable chemicals.
