Most Natural and Delicious Raw Organic Honey around
The media could not be loaded. I usually purchase organic honey sourced from Lithuania, but this time I wanted a change, and to try honey originating from Africa, after receiving rave reviews from a work colleague of mine.I decided to give this organic raw honey a try and so grateful that I did. All my family love it and we've already gone through a jar in 2 days. The honey is rich, with a unique, discernible flavour that sets it apart from its contemporaries. I've never ever tasted any honey like this before, but I mean that as a compliment. No-one should be surprised at this, though, as it is sourced from wild bees and goes through a meticulous and time-consuming process to ensure its originality and natural ingredients are never compromised. There is no sugar, antibiotics, genetically modified ingredients or any other artificial flavour enhancers or constituents contained within. It is completely raw, organic and cold pressed. The honey is more solid than viscous, and it seems the manufacturers have struck just the right balance here. It has a nice and consistent texture and doesn't melt or become runny even after being removed from the jar. The smell was a bit stronger than I was expecting, but not excessive enough to be off-putting or overwhelming. My main criteria being that this is a fully natural product, so I know all the features and characteristics of it are totally natural and beneficial to us.I usually have the honey with my oats in the morning, and on toast too. I also have it as a sugar substitute in my tea, where it adds a rich taste, and aroma, and makes every cup of tea one to savour. One can even eat it direct from the jar if desired. I've asked my wife to use it in place of sugar when she bakes us cakes and cookies, and she did that this evening when she baked 'brownies' for the first time, with this honey. Needless to say. they tasted different, but delicious nonetheless. The value of just over £ 10 for a kg, is exceptional and with it being more natural than most of its competitors, I know that I am getting all the health benefits too. The product is a fair trade one too so it's a nice feeling to be helping support the livelihoods of these fully deserving and hard working African farmers, who bring us this excellent product. When my current supply of 3 jars runs out, I will next be purchasing the 3kg tub, as we love the taste, and this is now my family's honey of choice. The honey will see us through winter, give us energy, boost our immune systems and will ward off colds, coughs, stomach and gut problems, nausea, and other illnesses.

which is a good thing, it is wonderful in hot drinks
I decided to get some "proper" Honey, as you can get fed up with the mass produced creamy jars in the Supermarkets, this Honey is OK, but it does have an awful smell when you take the top off, it doesn't taste as it smells, which is a good thing, it is wonderful in hot drinks, spread on toast, not to be placed in microwave, if crystalized, use pan & water if required.

Hated it at first, now I like it
I never used to like honey but I decided to try the rapeseed raw honey from the Local Honeyman and loved it. Unfortunately it's too expensive to buy regularly so looked around for a cheaper one that would hopefully taste nice. The price of this was great and it had enough good reviews so it was worth trying.Unfortunately I didn't like it at first as it had that weird medicinal flavour that I find in real Manuka honey (lot of fakes out there with Manuka but the real stuff I find yucky) which I tried years ago when I was looking after my Dad and he was sick. I was initially gonna toss it or find someone to give it to after I'd had a teaspoon of it, but decided to stick it in my porridge and hope the taste didn't ruin that. Surprisingly it lost the medicinal taste when mixed in my porridge and when I ran out and used some other store bought honey as a sweetner my porridge was not as nice. So I'm planning to order more of this as long as the price stays reasonable.I guess the taste grew on me as I started to have a teaspoon straight off the spoon, also started to add it to smoothies and when I made coconut oil/chocolate fudge (raw). Adds a nice flavour without making it too sweet. So guess I'm a fan and can recommend it to others as a good honey. The 'medicinal' taste is only reminiscent of Manuka (to me) and nowhere near as strong but if you really hate Manuka you may not be be able to get past that as I did. Still, given the price it's worth trying and I intend to order it regularly.

Delicious, natural honey, and organic! (No nasty smell)
After reading the 5-star reviews of this honey I was slightly put off by other lower star reviews saying it smelled like old socks or sweat or whatever. The first time I opened it, out of the bubblewrap, the jar did smell a bit, for sure. It's natural honey, so I would expect a bit of a different smell. But when I opened the jar, and smelled it, it smelled absolutely delicious - of pure, raw, honey. And the taste is exceptional - dip a spoon in, and scoop some out, then let it melt in your mouth, quite literally. For £3.50 a jar, it's a steal - organic, unpasteurised (must be) raw honey from the forests of Zambia. I also did a bit of research on the smell, and found out that a 'sweaty' smell coming from honey is entirely due to the type of flower that the bees extract the pollen from. Obviously, these bees are going into all sorts of different plants, and I think this is great - pollen from a variety of natural and GMO-free plants in Africa. You will love this honey, and I encourage you to try it - you'll finish the 3 jars in no time. I use mine in a home-made protein shake, and it's so so sweet, one teaspoonful is enough for about 250ml of milk!

Hello Honey
This honey is tasty and not smelly at all which some reviewers claimed. Tasting is believing! If only the 3kg weight is packed in glass rather than plastic tubs. Would the producer consider this?

Very happy with this versatile Organic Honey
I was after an organic honey and was deciding between Organic and Manuka. Went with this Organic Forest Honey, guided by the reviews.I think others also mention this but when you first open the jar, the honey does smell strongly medicinal, but don’t let that put you off. It’s just different to begin with.I use it in my Honey & Cinnamon drink, in coffee and porridge. When I first tried it, I noticed it was very different to the honey I usually buy from the supermarket (non-organic, clear squeezy / set) by I feel like this is because I’m now consuming ‘real’ honey. It’s not overly sweet and smells/tastes more floral. Definitely recommend for health purposes or just a nice honey to eat/drink.

Wrong Photo.
This is not the honey what is in the photos. It tastes completely different from the Tropical Honey.
