Great and airtight
I use this to squeeze in my tube paints! I put damp kitchen towel between the mixing palette and lid and it keeps the paint liquid for ages! I love it

ALMOST the same as all the others - except for one thing
Yes, these empty palettes are all pretty much alike. I can't speak to the quality of the ones available these days that cost $12 or $13, so I can't compare that. But of all these palettes that I've bought over the years, the Schmincke ones are different in one aspect:The pan-holding brackets open facing one side. That means that labels on the pans, if you label them, can all face the same direction instead of facing the center. So you don't have to keep turning the pan or your body to see the names of the colors in the pans.At first I thought this would be weird, but now it has proved to be really great, and preferable. You might not think this is worth the rather significant extra dollars, but I think this feature is notable. And if you frequently change pans, or have (too!) many colors in your palette, this can make things easier.

Boîte cabossée
Pour une marque aussi prestigieuse, la qualité laisse vraiment à désirer. Petite boîte vide de 12 godets pour 20€, arrivée dans un sachet plastique, sans protection, toute cabossée. L épaisseur du métal est inférieure à une boîte W&N. Ça me laisse perplexe .

Poorly finished tube box
The idea of this paint tube box is fine. But the poor finishing and very sharp edges make it almost dangerous to your fingers! The box is not worth its price. I do not recommend it.

Been looking for one of these since art school. It is very well made and is exactly what I was looking for. I love it even though pricey.
