First of all, the toy came packaged really well so thank you for that!This is a cheap but cheerful toy that will certainly put a smile on your child's face.It is a lovely yellow colour, has LED flashing lights, and the remote controller plays music and sound effects. This is lots of fun. The sound can also be turned off on the controller, but it would be handy to have a volume control so that your child can play the sound, just more quietly.The remote controller is easy to use and any child will surely learn how it works quickly. The remote control requires two AA batteries but the toy itself comes with rechargeable batteries which is nice. It would have been better if two battery packs had been provided so the child can play while the batteries are charging. It is also a little bit of a nuisance to charge as you have to unscrew the battery cover, unplug the battery pack and charge it.The plastic does not feel very sturdy. Although I have not experienced any breakages I do fear something snapping or bending.All in all, I think this toy is what you can expect for £26.99. It is certainly bags of fun.

After further investigation, finally found the 'on/off' switch on the digger! Until this point the digger did not work. The light on the USB charger, only ever shows red, so we weren't sure if the battery pack included was charging. Our 5 yo son LOVES the digger; however, what he loves more is that the remote control makes noise, talks, and about 3 different songs that play when the buttons are pushed. If I would have know about the sounds - I wouldn't have purchased this item. The instructions for the digger are minimal and only on the outside of the box - not a big deal, but likely why we missed the location of the 'on/off' switch. Anyway, digger arrived quickly (thanks to the Prime Trial subscription) and the recipient is well pleased.

Great toy well made and durable. Only problem is that the rechargeable battery pack only last about 30 minutes before it needs recharging. Very tedious when your 4 year old can not play with it when battery is recharging( 2 hours)

My Grandson was v happy it's a lovely toy. Does so much . V happy would purchase again.

It's not often I review products I have purchased from Amazon, in all the years I have been very pleased, till now.Bought this item for my grandson's birthday, put standard batteries in the handset worked fine, plugged in the chargeable battery pack noticed there was no indicator of charge going into the pack so assumed everything was going fine, then presented it to my Grandson who excitedly opened the box we inserted the battery pack together-----NOTHING the thing did not work at all, then I began to see how shoddy the thing was,the little screw for the cover of the battery pack was underneath the track of the vehicle and not captive in the lid so came out and vanished into gaps by the machine, the on off switch was covered by the the cab unit all the parts seemed very delicate and not likely to last any time at all (experienced similar before) I would definitely say it was not fit for purpose -----on the video clip of the machine it showed it galloping across a sand dune digging like a good one.----we will never know, one good point the returns system with Amazon is fantastic, not that I normally need it.

There a some great things about this and some very disappointing things.Starting with the positives: it's a low cost, multi-function toy that looks like a realistic model of a digger and works as described. We bought it for a three year old, because most of the diggers aimed at this age group do not have all the functions that this one has. He really loved it and, whilst I don't think it will stand up to being thrown around by a three year old, it's still going. I have to stress, it looks great has lots of independent functions and he loves it.Now the negatives -The scoop doesn't work very well. You can't control the bucket independently of the arm - it just does a circular motion which makes it pretty much impossible to pick anything up. We'd expected this to be possible. Even if you could position the digger to scoop something up, the bucket arm doesn't have any strength so gets stopped by anything in its way, Ideally, you'd want it to be able to pick up a small pebble or a toy.Also, the whilst the top spins nicely, it doesn't go round and round - it can do two circles before stopping then you need to go the other way. This seems to be what they mean by 720 degree rotation.Lastly, it's great that it comes with a rechargeable battery for the digger unit, but you need to unscrew the cover and take the battery out in order to charge it - seems a bit silly not to be able to leave it in. Also, the charger has a pilot light but doesn't tell you when it's charged.It's nearly a brilliant toy, but the negatives outweigh the positives for me - if the manufacturer could fix these issues then it would be a real winner.

I purchased this item over a year ago. I thought that I would give my son ample playing time with it before reviewing it.This digger is great fun. It is well made and rather sturdy. The battery operated controller does not haemorrhage the AA batteries required to operate it. The actual digger has a rechargeable battery unit in it which comes with a USB style charger. This Digger not only provides a fun element of playing but also aids hand eye coordination for your child. This is a great buy and I would recommend it.

Bought this along with the other construction vehicles in the range to give to my granddaughters [& why not?] for Christmas but have opened them all to charge & insert batteries & test them. I especially like the fact that they are all the same scale [1:45], so they can be used together. My only criticism is one that applies to all motorised toys & that is that the gearing should have been reduced so that it was to scale as well. In all, excellent value & I look forward to helping the girls play with them.

Grandson likes it but shipped via Fedex...charged me $30 to pay $8 tax. Shipping and fees exceeded cost of toy.

It doesn't work. The tracks will not propel forward. The lights, sound, and acoop work. It is a chincy toy and doesn't move forward. Just generally poor quality. I feel bad. My 6yr old is upset I have to return it.

Not very durable , grandson broke already
