Works well
Works well and is good value. I use on my hair when short and my beard. It comes with me to work. I recommend it.

Very gentle on scalp.
Wood comb is good for hair, especially if one is experiencing hair damage or hair loss.Nice smell of genuine wood. It would be better if the comb is little longer. The instruction on the wrap states, that this comb should not be soaked in water or left in the water or damp area. Nice portable, but if you have longer or rich hair, the length may not be enough to comb large amount at once. We were told by the hair specialist, that when combing hair, from neckline to the top of head, and side to the top, then front to back is the gently way to tidy up hair. Many of us directly comb from front to back, and this is not good for hair. The comb is very gentle on the scalp. Each tooth (wood blades) are rounded, and do not scratch scalp, which is very important to prevent hair loss. Also, at dry air in winter, there is no static electricity produced when combing. Very good for gentle or thinning hair. But why wait? Start to use before your hair gets damaged.

Great product, came in a leather case though
Its a fantastic comb, very sturdy, both ends are useful as the longer side is great for the first run through, then the thinner side is good for that finer comb through; my beard oil gets distributed evenly this way. The problem I have is that it came in a leather case, which was not stated: I do not enjoy supporting animal cruelty. Please, get rid of the leather case for something animal friendly. At the least, make it aware that it comes in a leather case.

I got wood
I've had a beard for 20 odd years and just used clippers to keep it neat but now in retirement I've decided to let it grow out and now have a reasonably bushy beard. Despite using beard oils and balms to keep it in good condition there were always bits that stuck out but didn't require cutting. Then it was pointed out to me that a plastic comb causes static, doh. So I did a bit of research. Horn is good and wood is good and after reading lots of reviews on Amazon, plumped for this one. It's a little larger than a credit card, I keep it sandwiched in my billfold in my pocket. Combing my beard results in a really soft tangle free hair before applying products. I don't know how I managed without it. Highly recommended.

Lovely item, strictly for beard
Clearly made of wood, it's been my loyal back-pocket companion for months now. For those thinking of getting this for their longer hair: while it works to some extent, I would recommend against it due to the narrow toothed edges of the comb. It says it's for beard, and indeed that's where it excels. The handling of the comb is a little clumsy due to the shape, but the portability compensates for that. Don't drop it, mine has lost a tooth that way. If it loses more, I will probably not hesitate to buy one of these things again.

high quality comb
bought this two years ago to comb my beard, the two sides with different thickness is handy, thicker for knots and thinner for afterwards. The best thing about it is after two years it still smells like sandlewood - even after using it every day, is what made me want to write a review after all this time. have dropped it countless times, shows no sign of breaking, very strong and sturdy. not much else you can ask from a comb to be honest.

For a tangle-free Brush . . .
Do not underestimate the benefit of a decent Beard Comb! Having struggled, sometimes painfully with the normal plastic 'half & half' type, which then only worked with my brush blathered in conditioner or soap, I was sceptical to say the least. Impelled by the reviews of other BrushMushes, I cast caution to the wind. Starve the Lizards! Unwashed, as soon as I received this comb, it was out the packet and through my beard, and without pain or much sticking. With brush washed & oiled, it's like oil on PTFE and it smells delightful.A nice addendum to this comb would be a wallet in which to 'pocket' it during the day as one's pride and joy works it's way down your chest !?!!

Lifetool
Better than I expected.I'd imagined this about credit card size, but it's actually about twice that big, and very nicely crafted from a solid piece of wood, so it feels more substantial. No idea whether it's sustainably produced, so it could be depleting a habitat somewhere. On the other hand, it'll last a lifetime, so commit to your beard and ensure the tree didn't die in vain.Would fit easily into most pockets. An earlier reviewer (Gil G., on 12 July 2012) complained it had images of butterflies on it. Mine has only a trademark. Very pleasing colour and grain. For the first time in my life I'm carrying a comb round the clock. Could be habit-forming.
