Eagle 13A 3-Way Block Socket Splitter Mains Adaptor

Worked ok for a few months , but one night while fast asleep I got woken up by a burning smell and then I realised that my mains plug was melting away and almost catching fire so I instantly unplugged it. The block socket is melted and ruined but at least no one got hurt. I would not recommend this , but if someone already bought this be really careful and don’t leave it unattended as it is not safe.

The sockets are not on the side of the block indicated in the ad's image, which is why I specifically purchased this item. See my photo attached for where they actually are (top bottom and front of the block rather than left top and right as advertised) I have kept the purchase as I couldn't be bothered to post back, but due to my very low level wall mounted socket, this plug is now only good for splitting 2 ways, not 3 (the socket on the bottom is useless to me)

The photo shows the 3 way sockets located on top and either side, when actually it is on top middle and bottom.The reason we bought these as our kitchen sockets are located barely a coupe of cansHigher than the worksurface, and therefore unusable (unless you want to crack the wires plugged into it). This extension only acts as an extension for us rather than a 3 way extension.PHOTO IS VERY MISLEADING BEWARE!

Very disappointed with this product. The positions of the sockets look nothing like on the picture. The sockets are placed in awkward positions making it impossible to plug in 3 plugs together especially if they're a bit bulky because they overlap. In the end you can only plug in 2 plugs at a time,meaning that you're paying for 3 sockets adaptor but can only use 2 sockets which is very annoying I can't believe I bought more than one.Better off buying the linear one to be on the safe side or you'll end up frustrated like me.

As seen when i the wall, you have one outlet each on the top, on the left side, and on the right side. None at the back which is the ONLY place that's always unobscured!So in cases when you would get normally two usable outlets, you now get one! The same as not using the product. Idiotic design by someone who doesn't actually use UK style plugs, for sure.

What I received was not the image provided - a much larger, bulkier block with inputs on the top, back and bottom. Given that this was intended for a poorly fitted socket that sits flush to the floor I was not impressed! Just about managed to squeeze it into the mains socket but now don’t have access to one of the inputs.I would say that this is the kind of item that it might be worth spending a bit more on, however I can get the item actually pictured in my local megastore for a mere £3.50 ....other than that it does what’s needed and I managed to sort out my electrical logistics so I suppose meets its purpose.

Unit delivered (actually I bought 6) are not as illustrated, hence loss of one star. I wanted sockets on top, bottom and side, but not on front. The units I received had sockets top, bottom and front -- none on the side. They are also quite a bit larger than the unit in the pictures.On the plus side, they appear well-made, and have a fuse (13A).On the whole, I'm happy with them. They are far better quality than the 2-socket units I bought at the same time.

I specifically required a front and side, or top and side socket, as per product image. The unit supplied was top and front, this will not work with larger power adapters.I am sure the unit would have been OK if my requirements were different, but please place an image of the product you intend to supply as for me it was misleading.Product returned for refund.
