Finally an exercise DVD that I will stick at
I pushed the music off button and enjoyed this more than any other exercise DVD and felt great afterwards. I know I will stick with this once or twice a week. This Tai Cheng DVD is marketed mainly towards middle age and older people but I would say this is great for someone of any age, especially in this digital world of mobile phones and sitting for long times at computers, we all need to counteract the change that is happening with our posture! Doing this DVD even once a week I think would benefit everyone. Doing it more regularly should help you become more aware of what your posture is like during the day and with the help of having increased core strength and flexibility it will improve your posture. This DVD also helps with balance. The teacher is a modest, charming man and a good teacher, saying informative and helpful tips. The warm up of 20 mins could be done as a session in it's self as it helps with posture, core strength, flexibility and in the stance you have to have. What makes this exercise DVD different than others i have is the pace which is much slower but don't be fooled, because the movements are done slower, this actually makes it quite hard work sometimes.Even if you modify, if you are doing the moves properly you will be using inner energy - your core and stamina energy if that's the word as opposed to aerobic jumping about energy of most exercise DVD'sI think if you follow this it will make you look younger because your awareness of posture will improve and your core will strengthen, balance and flexibility, all the things that will make you feel younger and your joints more 'oiled' too.

Highly recommended as a gentle recovery workout that gets results
I've been using these workouts for about a week and a half and I'm already noticing an incredible improvement in my posture and flexibility. I am recovering from having my hip put back in alignment and my curved spine straightened after it curving due to the pressure my hip was putting on it. I have suffered with these problems for around 30 years before being diagnosed by an osteopath and having that all fixed. I didn't exercise in terms of tai chi or stretching the first time these were fixed I just walked and my hip went back out again and my spine started to curve again!! This time I decided to do things differently! I have already had a number of comments at work about how quickly I have toned up and straightened out and it was even noticed that I'm not limping any more (I hadn't even noticed that!!). If you need a gentle recovery workout to strengthen the body in a non straining way I can't recommend this enough, I really can't believe the improvement that I've noticed in myself even in how I am standing and it has improved my flat foot and fallen arch for which doctors were recommending insoles. I haven't needed them since!

DO NOT EXPECT A FOAM ROLLER...but at less than £15, this is a steal!!
Firstly, let's get 4 stars out of the way. This is simply because AMAZON need to GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER and actually READ THEIR OWN PRODUCT REVIEWS! So many reviewers on here have complained about NO FOAM ROLLER coming with the package, despite what it says in the product description, which is FALSE ADVERTISING, pure and simple, yet AMAZON HAVE NOT ACTED UPON THIS FEEDBACK AND UPDATED THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ACCORDINGLY.HOWEVER, there are two reasons I've not returned this product and asked for a refund. Firstly, the omitted foam roller is not an issue for me personally, as I already have two foam rollers in my home gym arsenal and any more would be superfluous. Secondly, getting a 90-day life-changing workout programme that originally cost over £100, from a man with over 30 years experience alongside his PhD (so he knows what he's talking about), which comes with all the other items in the package (resistance band, blue tape, nutrition guide etc), is a steal at under £15! Therefore, my advice is: forgive the foam roller error (even though the 4 stars are well-deserved for that) and spend some of that saved money on a foam roller of your choice. I prefer the ones with teeth, as they really get into your painful areas, like having an elbow jammed in there. I have a red one with soft teeth and a black one with hard teeth. The reasons I chose this programme are, first, I want a calmer, early-morning, wellbeing workout to contrast with my intense P90X3 evening workout; and, second, I have a right knee injury and reviews of Tai Cheng say it's a magic pill for issues with joints. As a result of that knee injury, I've created my own P90X3 programme that leaves out the plyo/cardio/power workouts (Agility X, CVX, Warrior, Triometrics, Accelerator, Decelerator, MMX, Complex Upper/Lower) and leaves me with the other 9 workouts until my knee is better. I am investing a lot of hope in Tai Cheng, as I want to get back to fuller workouts.I will now do the programme itself and update this review in 3 months.

No roller included
Unfortunately roller not included in delivery. Stated as included in product description and required for exercises (for each of the 90 days - it’s needed as part of the warmup). As package was a paper envelope in which there was a slim box (with the DVDs) it’s clear the omission was not an accident. So - seems great if you already have a roller, less so if expecting what was described.Note - no option to contact seller. Guess the walk to the post office to return will be the most beneficial part of the DVDs.

Excellent program
I am really enjoying this workout program, Dr Mark Cheng is an excellent teacher who explains everything really well.I wanted a work out that would balance out the high intensity work outs that I do and this definitely fits the bill.

Good but overpriced
Brilliant if you've been immobile for a while, it's a slow introduction to tai chi, I'm on week 3 and enjoying it when I can be motivated to do it, most of each 1/2 hour session is the warm up neural reboot, I have to say that my legs especially my thighs are getting stronger, now all I need to do is get some motivation!
