Love these! I take them when touring on my motorbike. I dont use the self heating pouch but they are good when needed.Great for camping and hiking. Saved me when I broke down in the middle of nowhere.Taste great and have everything you need!

Excellent meal pack for lightweight bivi trips. Used one pack on a bike packing trip in the Cairngorms. All items well packaged with long dates. The self heating meal worked really well and the included spork does the job perfectly. Didn't try the energy drink. But all else is good.Just note that while the bits for hot drinks are all provided: tea bag, coffee sachet, hot chocolate and sugar sachets there was only one creamer sachet and you need to provide a means to heat water for hot drinks (small stove or fire).

These ration packs can be used absolutely anywhere. The self-heating main meals only require 60ml of water to start the self heating reaction. The process is as easy as putting a pouch in a bag and squirting in some water - simples! You could do this on the side of a mountain in a gale or crashing through icey seas in an open boat. Situations where a few mouthfuls of hot food is absolutely priceless. Portion size is modest but enough to see you through.Also included is a filling long-life bread with spead, and the other usual ration pack gear eg. a biscuit or two, some sweets, coffee powder, fruit drink powder, chewing gum, plastic cutlery etc.The menus are all quite tasty and no tins so the waste can be folded down to a very small size.

These are really IDIOT PROOF to use, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I have used them a number of times, and they are enough for 1 person for 1 meal.Its simple, put the meal pack in the heater bag, add 150ml of water, fold the top of the bag over to form a pouch, lay the pouch on the floor or a kitchen top etc, wait 12 minutes (although I would leave it 14 minutes to be sure). Tear open the pouch and remove the meal packet, open it and enjoy the food.Like I said...... IDIOT PROOF

Buy a lot of this and will continue to. Does the job perfectly when I am out metal detecting

The instructions were less than useless. After filling with 150ml of water, it says tear here, tear where? There's no tear mark or cut. The water all comes out because there's no obvious way to seal the pack to keep the water in.I gave it the 12 minutes it said, and a little bit more as the last attempt was cold.This was cold too, maybe slightly warm. I put it in the microwave.The flavour isn't that great either, it's ok, not inedible, but not what I'd call tasty,It's all gone in the bin and I won't be buying any more of these.I asked the supplier about these issues and the only answer was to tell me where the fill line was for the water.Utter waste of time and money, don't bother buying it,

The heating pouch is literally pure genius. You even have to let it cool for a while before eating it gets so hot! The meals taste great, and the snacks are petty good too. Definitely 5 stars.
