Brand New Genuine Dell Slim 65W 19v 3.34a Laptop Adapter Charger For Dell

I bought this replacement adaptor to replace the original Dell adaptor that came with my secondhand Dell E6230. I had found this to get hotter than I liked in use. The new adaptor arrived very fast and it works really well and does not get HOT.I also found that this adaptor charges the new battery bought for this second hand laptop up to 100% VERY FAST.I allowed my new battery to drop down to 7% as indicated on the instruction sheet that came with it and found with amazement how fast the new battery got back to 100% with the new charger/adapter in use even while I continued to work on it.Another thing I like about this charger/adaptor is that what shows as a white ring around the jackplug (see on the Amazon picture) is actually a light that indicates the mains power is working all the way to my laptop ie. that the plug is in the mains socket properly and that the cables to and from the charger/adapter are in situ properly. I can also see at a glance around the side of the laptop that the jackplug is lit up and if it is securely plugged in. The write up on the Amazon page did not mention this.Another good thing about this charger/adaptor is that it is half as thick as the original Dell charger/adaptor which means less of a bulge in the side pocket of my laptop bag.EDIT I have since bought a second one

I’m not convinced this charger is genuine Dell but it’s a tremendously good copy. Compared side by side, there quality of the rubber pieces isn’t quite the same (there’s some rubber/plastic left over from where it’s been separated from the mould). And the second piece (the bit with the plug on the end) is nothing like the official Dell version, the plug is just a standard 3 pin.Having said all that, without a magnifying glass it looks the same and it charges my Dell Latitude laptop, so I’m happy! Delivery was much quicker than the other (more official looking) version also sold on Amazon.

I don't know if this is a genuine Dell part either but as others have said side by side they are almost identical and the specs are the same and most importantly, my Dell Inspiron 15 5547 accepted it immediately and it has been happily charging ever since. Literally, just plug in and go. I did double check with the company 1st to check compatibility though. Also, I was quoted £60 from Dell for this part plus the plug, so this is a much better price for such a small item, including the plug. I received this product the very next day from ordering, which was great, seeing as my other recharger was hanging by a thread and had to be sellotaped to keep it together in the interim. It is just not genuine DELL part. The engraved DELL log's font has much thinner line than real DELL logo, so is the logo printed on the label. This is because they tried to avoid being completely the same as DELL, otherwise they will be sued. The label is more reflective and painted with brighter tone than genuine DELL part. The power lead to the laptop is much softer than a genuine one, giving an impression of fragile. But whoever manufactured this went to great length as to making the light ring on the plug. And it is correctly detected by my DELL laptop as 65W. It works all right, producing no electric hiss, definitely better than the 6 pound after market charger.I can spotted that this 65W power supply is counterfeit because I bought a genuine second handed 90W DELL power supply featuring the same oval shape. Otherwise this power supply is disguised very well.Update: It is indeed not genuine. The white light ring of the power plug does not have breathing effect when it is not plugged into a laptop while official DELL plug does. The breathing light effect is certainly difficult to implement.

This is the official genuine Dell charger as supplied with my laptop from new. It is well made as you would expect from OEM equipment. The identical charger it replaces was lost and was functioning perfectly at the time of loss.It is made from black soft touch plastic. It has a moulded fused 13a standard uk plug to three pin 'cloverleaf' plug. This plugs into the transformer/rectifier and then that plugs into the laptop by way of the dell specific DC plug. The LED power indicator is integrated into this plug.The only thing I would change about the charger would be to add a ninety degree DC plug so that it wouldn't protrude so far from the side of the laptop.

I purchased this as a replacement for a faulty charger.It arrived the same day, packed in protective material. I used it immediately and it worked perfectly. It is much slimmer and neater than the old one.Price wise I found it very reasonable, indeed it was a lot cheaper than many other sites.I would certainly use them again in the future.

Cannot verify whether this charger is a genuine Dell one however in my opinion it is a very good product for the price. As a pet rat owner I'm on my second one now but the previous one lasted for 2 years with no fault before getting chewed through. Also very quick delivery-got it within a coupe of days from ordering. Would definiately buy it again if needed and can also recommend it to anyone.

The power adapter is perfect for the laptop and is what I wanted it.
