Sanford Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils 24 units Portrait

Bought these after ‘borrowing’ (lol!) my husband’s set of 24 Prisma colours. Nice selection of yellows, reds and browns. I’ve used them for a couple of cat portraits that I did for a surprise birthday present for a friend. As my preference has been for acrylic paints, I thought these were a nice pencil for sketching and colouring. The colour covers well on the paper I used, and they are soft and easy to blend. Plus they were the cheapest that I had seen- so I was happy. I will be buying more.

Good value for money, lovely pencils, , just what I wanted

I ordered these pencils because I have been wanting a set of pencil that I could draw portraits with and this was perfect! even though they are expensive, they are worth every penny!The 'waxy' texture made it so easy to blend and build up colour. I will definitely be buying more prismacolour pencils.There is a pencil for every skin colour which is fantastic. I ordered these from America so naturally I expected them to arrive between 1-2 weeks but I was very surprised when they arrived 6 days after I ordered them! They were very well packaged and protected which was great as this pencils are very fragile.Overall im very happy and will purchase again from Supermart USA!

This is a lovely set of creamy easy to blend pencils in a good range of flesh and hair tones. I use them for adult colouring books and I can get very professional looking results with not much effort and no special skills. I had some bog standard colouring pencils before and they do not create the same high standard of finish that these pencils provide. I bought this set additionally to a larger prismacolour starter set, so I could have a wider range of hair and skin tones. I also create cards and scrap books from time to time and these pencils come in very hand for character and animal drawing.

Beautiful selection of colours, well packed in a nice tin with 2 plastic trays holding the pencils. Lovely soft pencils, lay down really well. Useful leaflet with a step by step guide from an artist on how to colour a portrait using these colours. I bought these for faces in my colouring books, maybe I'll try a portrait when I feel more confident using these pencils! Only downside was it too a long time to get to me in UK from USA, just over 5 weeks, a few days later than the expected delivery date, however, we are going through exceptional times at the moment, so this was expected.

I bought these because I was curious. A lot of Americans say they are the best pencils to use for artists and I was scared because a lot of the reviews said they had breakage problems. Not one of them has appeared to be broken and easy to sharpen. The colours for skin tones are on point! Found it a bit strange that you don't get a black though. Also it is a bit annoying that if I wanted to replace one individually I would have to pay way more than I am willing as I can't get them easily here. So I probably will not buy this type again.

These are beautifully made coloured pencils. And blend well. Layers are created beautifully.Using a smudge pen and or cotton bud, you won't be disappointed. My only gripe is the black pencil is not included but that is an overshadow. Great pencils and a bargain price.
