JVL Buff Split Willow Shopping Storage Basket with Cream Lining

Every year I bang my head against a wall trying to think of a good and affordable Christmas present for my elderly grandmother who doesn't hide her displeasure well! Slippers, bathrobe, flowers, chocolates have all been like me bitter disappointments to her until I hit on the idea for this year's present of a hamper with all her favourite foods, chocolates, jams, biscuits etc so at least if she hates it she will still use the products so I needed an attractive basket.....Given I paid just under a tenner for this I wasn't really expecting much but I am pleasantly surprised as it looks even better on arrival that it does in the listing image. It is really made and just looks really good and more importantly to me at least it looks the part for the hamper idea.The basket itself is very strong and woven willow never ceases to amaze me how strong it is so this will definitely last a long time regardless of your particular need for it and we have already ordered a second to hold logs for our wood burning stove..... because apparently logs need to be presented nicely!?The basket is lined with white material and attached to the basket by being tied with 4 bows around the outer rim of the basket.Not really much else I can say about this basket so to summarise: Liked the first one so much we bought a second, looks great, strong, environmentally friendly (willow), well made and excellent value for money. Very much ticks all the boxes for me and let's just hope Nanny is as impressed on the big day.... probably not. Seriously though this is really a no brainer purchase for anyone looking for an attractive basket / hamper.

I bought this item so that I could use it for picnics. It's very spacious and has a good design, perfect for packing some non-perishable snacks. Obviously, since it doesn't have a lid, it's not great for holding cold foods or anything like that but for a simple day out it's perfect. The aesthetic is great for posing with pictures too.The basket's construction seems sturdy but I was a little hesitant to use the handles with heavy basket contents. I ended up holding it from the underside just in case. The lining is nice though because you can spill stuff and not worry about ruining the basket forever. I would like to point out that I have poked myself a few times on the side of the basket, but that's more me being careless than anything else.Pros:- Cute- Fabric lining is easily removable and washableCons:- Doesn't feel sturdy with too much weight- Wicker was pokey :(

I wanted this basket to carry stuff up and down the garden (which is quite long), it needed to be fairly roomy and strong when using the handles. I have tested this with a bottle of wine, two plates and some glasses and snacks, it is great . I had a good look at it and the handles are wired and attached by metal loops to loops on bars which reinforce the basket. Others I looked at were a bit fragile looking. Plates are fine in with the wine and glasses, though of course carried flat. Things topple off trays but I didn't want to get out the flippin picnic bag thing just to go down the garden. This morning I used it to transport some lettuce and vegetables back up. It will be good for cut flowers if the deer ever stop eating my roses. Very pleased and excellent value.

The basket is beautiful and makes for a nice homemade hamper, perfectly giftable for a loved one. It is sturdy and well made and has plenty of storage space for goodies (I used cheese and wine as my theme as they are a fellow cheese lover)Another reason for my 5 star review is that the basket is reusable so would make for excellent storage and/or other such usage.I have yet to give it to them as it will be a birthday present, but can’t wait to see their reaction to it - here’s hoping they love it just as much as I do!Would definitely recommend as a gift that keeps on giving!

Really impressed. Delivery was prompt and well packaged to ensure the basket wasn’t damaged. Wasn’t sure if the basket would be large enough for what I intended it to be used for. It can fit lots in!I bought it to be used as a Christmas hamper (attempting to be organized and very early this year in case of issues closer to December with Covid etc).The basket will easily fit - a bottle of cognac, wine, some Xmas ales, nice tin of biscuits, huge bar of choc, bags of sweets/chocolate, jars of honey/chutney, some nice smellies, a large candle, fluffy socks, a festive 500 piece jigsaw and a couple of books.Will be buying some nice plastic and ribbon to add a nice finishing touch and it will make a lovely looking gift full of things I know will be enjoyed - unlike some ready made hampers which tend to have items in that always get left behind.

Bit disappointing as a sturdy hamper, should have realised from the cost. Good for gifting, but not if to be used afterwards. The handle wires bent, broke and had to be repaired.

Veramente molto carino l'abbiamo usato per fare un cesto di prodotti enogastronomici da regalare. E' piaciuto molto perchè è ben rifinito ed essendo un cesto da pic nic il nostro regalo è stato molto apprezzato,. Ottimo prezzo e spedizione velocissima.

Il n y avait aucun commentaire pouvant m aider à me décider ....et bien , j ai quand même acheté ...( et oui , je suis la première à le donner ) ....résultat ,quelle ne fut pas ma surprise ....le panier est vraiment très grand ,je ne m attendais pas à de telles dimensions .parfait ! Que les anses puissent être rabattues ,c est encore plus pratique ....l osier est de bonne qualité.... ! Je l ai rempli de produits ,histoire d évaluer jusqu'à combien il pouvait supporter ....pas mal !

Der Korb sieht optisch sehr schön aus. leider hängt sich der Henkel immer wieder aus. Aber bei diesem Preis ist das ein kleiner Mängel. Versand gut jederzeit wieder
