The humble recorder, the terror of more than a million parents. Depending on your views, it is either a bad thing or a blessed thing that music is not taught as much at school as was in our day. The kids are not given a recorder to blast out tunes on anymore so you have to get your own and if you are going to subject yourself to that, you may as well make the thing bright pink.The setup is this 'Soprano Recorder' is impressive. You get the recorder itself, formed from a resin, but also a nice bag to keep it in and a rod to clean out all that gross saliva at the end. Being resin and not wood, it lacks some of the tone, but I never found the recorder the nicest instrument to listen to. This is a slightly higher tone version, smaller for the kids. They love it, but it really is for a beginner, the quality is not high enough and the sound is a little sharp. A good tool if you want to encourage a child to develop a love of playing musical instruments.

Good first instrument for a child

This is a really lovely instrument, and of course all children love to try / learn recorder! This one is aimed at, and perfect for children / beginners. Don’t run away with the idea though that it just toot, it isn’t. It’s actually really good, and very well-made.The recorder is beautifully presented in a velvet bag, (often they are sold in plastic boxes), and comes complete with a cleaning tool and tuition sheet to help beginners learn basic chords.The recorder is plastic, but exceptionally good quality. The recorder is satisfyingly weighty (not overly though, so ideal for little hands). Sound quality is great, much better than expected, and it’s comfortable to hold and use.To summarise, this is a great buy as a first recorder, perfect for learning. Needless to say if buying for a child, mum and dad will have a cheeky go as well! Super value, recommended.I hope that you have found this helpful.

I didn't expect much from this product and it does deliver the little I expected. It is good as a toy for toddlers but not good as an instrument. The tones are just not there and all it creates is noise.A recorder is a "wood"wind instrument yet this is a "plastic" wind instrument that simply cannot imitate the sound of wood.The product comes with a small printed leaflet that shows the positions of the notes yet has no music sheet for a beginner thus just seeing the diagrams is not enough and does appear quite confusing.As this does not work like a "real" recorder I have given this to the three year old as she does like to make a lot of noise and this helps her a lot.Seriously, this cannot be called a recorder as plastic cannot give the accoustics that wood creates and a recorder is usually made of wood thus making it the perfect starter instrument before moving up through the woodwinds, including the flute, oboe etc. This product won't get any child going anywhere as this simply doesn't create music, it only creates different sounding whistles.I am not recommending this as an instrument as it is cheap, tacky plastic that simply cannot do what one would expect but I can recommend this as a toy for noisy kids. It is not of good quality nor is it good value, as an instrument, so one would be better off looking around, spending a little more and getting a real wooden recorder for the real sounds.

I learnt the soprano recorder at school when I was little as a compulsory thing in music. I haven't played it for so many years so I am mostly forgotten how to play now. I can still play the note and it is not very hard to pick up the notes again as it is quite easy.I am letting my daughters try it and they like it very much. As an absolute beginner I think a better instructions would help more. The sheet of paper included in the pack isn't quite clear and there isn't any songs to follow and play.There is a cloth storage case and a cleaning rod. Still figuring how to use the cleaning rod to clean the recorder. Overall, nice musical instrument with an affordable price.

Hatten vorher eine Mollenhauer Blockflöte, die jedoch kaputt gegangen ist. Der Klang ist wie ich finde vergleichbar. Meine Tochter mag sie sogar lieber. Nur der Putzstab kam ohne „Lappen“ an, da haben wir den alten reaktiviert. Auch leider ohne Hülle, was man aber für den Preis wohl auch nicht erwarten kann.

E' un regalo quindi non abbiamo idea di un uso continuativo. E' un flauto scolastico, ben fatto e con tutti gli accessori.
