Good Replacement for Monkey Tails
Purchased these to try in lieu of the Monkey Tails. They are lighter @ 13.5 vs. 17.0 grains so your string will have less wait on it, so depending on how far you shoot and what group size you want, it may change your ballistics noticeably. Thus far they have held up just as well as well as the monkey tails and perform equally well (or better) at dampening the string vibration; at least to my "calibrated" ear.If you still want "monkey tails", Zebra now sales them here on Amazon:Â Zebra String Silencers Pack, Black Installation Note:If you find these, or the others, hard to install, first soften them up a bit by stretching them several times prior to installing. I do this using a #2 phillips screwdriver placed through the eye of the head, and then pull on the tail(s) to stretch them several inches. Second, place it on the string and insert the tails through the eye, insert a #1 phillips screwdriver through the eye, from the opposite side you inserted the tails through, and then stretch the eye slightly while pulling the tails through and securing the dampener. This requires the dampener less stretching of the dampener during install; thus, extending the useful life and preventing premature failure.

So far so good.
I've got an older Mathews solid limb. Getting hard to find limb stabilizers for the solid limbs anymore so I wanted to try these after installing new string and cable set. They ARE rather tricky to install without ripping them, like several people have said. I was having a few issues trying to get them installed, but I finally was able to get a pair on WITHOUT breaking any of them. Take your time and use care to pull them through gently yet completely. They work GREAT at this time, not sure about how long they'll last, but the bow has quieted down a large bit. Would recommend them if you want quiet your bow and also stop the vibration too. Not sure if they slow down the arrow much or not because I haven't chronographed it to know.

work great
these are a little tedious to put on; look up videos on installing using needle nose pliers and it will make your life easier. I have used these for several years, and have never had one come off or fail. For me, these are perfect for removing that little bit of "twang" out of my bow. They do had some weight to your string, and I find attaching to my cables gives me the same effect without slowing my bow down.

Simple to install, moderately effective.
The cable dampeners were easy to install. I was worried after reading some reviews about installation issues but I didn't have any problems. I used a needle nosed pliers inserted through the hole and grasped the "tails" and pulled the tails though the hole. Also, did a little "finger massaging" to get the lip through the hole but it wasn't difficult. Seemed to work just fine. I like that you don't have to remove the string to install the dampeners. As far as dampening the vibration I'd have to say they worked ok, but nothing significant. Bows are so different so if you want to give these a try I think it would be worth the investment to try these out. They are an easy and inexpensive attempt to silence the vibration noise. They may work great on your bow.

Quiets Down Very Well
After going to my archery shop, they put similar string silencers on my Oneida Kestrel, and it kept the string very quiet. After a year's use, the silencers broke off because of how dry they were. Without them, my bowstring would sound very disturbing after every short. After doing my research, these are the cheapest and they do work.I put four Wishbone string silencers on my string, two on opposite sides of the serving. The setup took about 5 minutes per Wishbone because the silencers were so new and had to be stretched out. That was the reason for a four-star review instead of a five-star review. After all that setup, the string made almost to no noise when I plucked the string. After playing around with the placements of the Wishbones, my string is completely silent. Pros:Silences down your bowLooks cool (IMHO)Comes in fourCheap PriceGood qualityCons: Set up is a little difficult, but stretching them helps

Easy to install. Read review
Work great on my 2020 Hoyt RX-4. Simple to install and out to the range. I've seen some complaints about they're too hard to pull through. I don't understand. It literally took seconds. Use visegrip needlenose pliers.Wrap the silencer around the string. Push the tails through. Then just clamp the pliers on the tails & roll'em till the bump pops through.

Would buy again
After 50 arrows give or take through my bow the top one lost both of its limbs some how. The package came with 4 so I'm not heartbroken over it by any means these work as described they reduce vibrations and I like the way they look and easy installation. Still trying to figure out what happened with that first set I put on but I would buy again since I replaced the first one no issues

would not buy again
The batch that I received must have been old and dried out. Every single one snapped and broke when trying to install. They did not stretch like they were supposed to and instead just snapped before the collar could be pulled through. Highly disappointed.
