Q: Is this mount compatible with a z fold 4 case that has a hinge protector?

It will not charge if the phone is unfolded. The hinge protector will cause the phone to lift out of the mout and the distance will be too far from the coil to hold a charge. It might work when it's folded, but I'm guessing that's not how you'd want to use the mount. Also, if the case itself is too thick, it will not charge properly. You want least amount of disruption between the charging coil and the phone.
