Very pleased with this purchase. Arrangements are beautiful and written with a jazzy feel. I’m usually hesitant to purchase music books online because you never know what you’re going to get. This collection is beautiful from beginning to end. I have already played two and the songs in church and plan to play the rest. Will purchase other products.

I love Mark Hayes’ style. A little jazzy with lovely harmonic chord choices. Not too hard. Some pieces are definitely more showy than others, with more runs and octaves. I enjoy his style when it comes to arranging otherwise very simple tunes. Perfect for special music at church or personal practice!

Really like Mark Hayes arrangements. For me, these take a little practice but not unobtainable. Recommend!

Mark Hayes is my favorite arranger for Christian music. This book has some good arrangements of 'contemporary' Christian music. Easier arrangements than some of his other works, but still has the musicality I love him for.

I play advanced piano music so I could sit down and sight read the whole book, but it was all lush and full harmonies that created depth in the music. I will play every song in this book in church. I'm even buying this for both of my daughters

These solos are fairly easy to play, not as difficult as some of Hayes' music. Contemporary songs that you will hear frequently at church, and they are a bit shorter than songs in some of the other books. Chords are included which are very helpful on those tricky parts where you can add a bit of your own notes if you can't immediately sightread what's written. Mark Hayes' chord combinations are unique and delightful.

Mark Hayes speaks to my heart with his outstanding abilities as an arranger of Christian music! I have many of his solo books, and love them all! I’ve never had one that I didn’t like every song. He does it all, from classic, spirituals, jazz, and now this new book! Just played How Deep the Father’s Love for Us for prelude this past Sunday. I so enjoy how he phrases his music with such intriguing chords and key changes! It’s always a challenge for my skill level, but I’ve played many, many of his arrangements over the years for church, and they are always well received and appreciated.

I’m excited for this nice new book of modern Christian music. The majority of the songs are in the key of G or D a couple are in C or a flat key.

Bought as a gift and they were pleased

This music is for strong intermediate to moderately advanced pianists. In other words, you really do need to spend some time practising them. But the arrangements sound quite good. I especially liked the fact that the chords were printed on the music as well. It helps me see how the music was put together. It also helps suggest little licks that I may be able to use when playing other songs, maybe in different keys. My only gripe is that the piano solos are a bit long - four pages each! This can be a problem if you only have a short time to perform in church or other similar setting. Currently, I am trying to find opportunities to cut out sections in order to create something that would be more practical.
