It's tough to find frames that are nicer than the big box craft store frames -- and come in a full range of sizes -- without getting into big bucks custom frame territory. This frame fills that niche nicely. Side by side with another poster in a custom frame, I find it hard to notice any difference. The reflections off the plexi (vs the custom frame next to it) are only noticeable to me if I pay attention. But if that will matter a lot to you, then you may want a pricier custom frame (or at least replace the glass.)Some people have commented about the process of inserting the screws that hold the wire. You don't need to drill holes -- they're self-tapping screws, so they just screw straight into the frame. Easiest to use a stubby screwdriver for good leverage. Then apply a bit of pressure and they'll go in. The directions are accurate, so just follow them carefully.These frames don't get as much love in the reviews as I would have expected. It would have cost more than double for a custom frame to fit my poster, and it looks nearly as good. And it's wayyyyyyy better quality than the big box craft store frames (if you can even find one in the right size.) So I'm happy that this company is filling this niche.

I ordered this 24x32 inch matte black frame to frame a laminated poster of the San Juan Islands taken by satellite. The frame came packaged with extra care. The acrylic (plastic "glass") had a protective sticker on both sides which came off easily. The corners were made perfectly (no need to magic marker!), and there were no scratches anywhere. The cardboard backing was pretty flimsy for such a heavy (laminated) poster. The poster looked a little wrinkled a along the top and bottom as it was able to pull back from the glass. This was easily fixed...I just cut another piece of cardboard the same size out of the packaging material and put a row of scotch tape "loops" on the back of the poster at the top and bottom before gently laying the first piece of cardboard on top of it. Then I slipped in the new piece of cardboard to give it extra depth and strength. It came out perfectly and took maybe an extra 5 minutes. The "glass" is not non-reflective but is no shinier than regular glass. Since this will be hanging in a non-sunny area of the room, this is not an issue for us. The frame came with super easier instructions for unpacking and applying the hanger to the back. I would buy this frame again in a heartbeat.

I had a 1000 puzzle I had purchased with a beautiful art image on it. I used Ravensburger Puzzle Conserver to protect it, and then wanted to frame and display the image. The problem was that the puzzle was 20x29, an impossible size to find in a standard frame. Now while the puzzle was nice, it certainly wasn't worth the high cost of either getting a custom frame, or even getting a much larger frame and having a mat cut (and I didn't want to go up to 24x36 anyways). The solution was right here on Amazon with the Craig Frames.The frame itself is a simple wood composite frame with a clear styrene/plastic window in front and a cardboard back. It would have been nice if the back was a bit heavier, but you don't see that part anyways. The frame was packaged with amazing care - it was in a cardboard frame inside a box. I'm not sure if chucking this off the back of the UPS truck could have damaged it. You won't be disappointed with shipping damage here. Also, the styrene window has clear plastic film on the front and back to protect it. The back is held down by bending in metal tabs - this means you can't take things in and out of the frame too much without breaking the tabs, but it works well for keeping it closed.Even more impressive, you get a hanging wire with two loops and phillips head screws to mount it on the frame, and they even include a hook and nail for putting the frame on the wall.If you've been shopping for large frames, you know how expensive they can get. This is a good enough frame for the lower cost items which require a custom size, but aren't worth the custom price.

The corners are tight and even. The frame looks a lot better than it actually is. The "glass" part is actually plastic. It is covered on both sides with a removable plastic film so it doesn't get scratched. It was shipped in a very well-protected package so it arrived in excellent shape. That said, the frame seems rather flimsy the way the backing is held in with bendable metal tabs instead of something more sturdy. For the price of nearly $40, I expected something better. The size (13x15) is so hard to find, though, I used it anyway. The finished product looks nice, but not like a high quality frame would have made it look.

Sturdy, good quality, looks very nice and sleek. Will purchase from this store again.

Originally I had a 3 star review on this because there was a small 1 inch chip/crack on the edge the acrylic. It was disappointing but not a big deal. The chip must have happened accidentally at manufacturing, because the shipping package was in great shape and I felt like the frame was very secure in the box. Then, all of a sudden a new piece of acrylic was delivered a couple of days later. I hadn't check my email for a couple days and there were two messages from Craig Frames the asking had they could make it right. I guess since I didn't answer they decided to ship a new piece. My limited edition signed concert poster looks great in the frame. And as a bonus it comes with all the mounting hardware.
