I wish I knew Bluetooth wireless headphone adapters existed years ago!
This is a Tekhome BR100 Wireless Adapter Review.I love this product! It lets me use wired headphones that have the single detachable 3.5 mm input jack without needing headphone wires. Nothing needs to touch your smartphone or tablet for it to work. If it has Bluetooth, it will work. Even those newer smartphones that no longer come with 3.5 mm headphone plugs will work with it!IMPORTANT: Make sure your headphones only have need of one (1) input jack, and not two (2), such as the SOL Republic Master Tracks headphones. This will not work with headphones that do not have detachable headphone cables. Also, be sure your headphone's input jack has enough room available to plug this adapter into them. There isn't any depth to the adapter, so if your headphones have a deep input plug, this will not fit. Headphones with deep input plugs (I'm looking at you, Skullcandy) that require long, slim headphone plugs will not work with this adapter. (You *could* get one of those 1" straight slim adapters, though. Just a thought.)The sound quality is just as good, and just as loud as using my headphone wires. The instructions it comes with are very easy to understand. I learned that to skip ahead to the desired track, you need to hold down the "Volume Up" button, and to skip back to your desired song, hold the "Volume Down" button. It has a built-in microphone that you can use while using your smartphone or tablet. It'll work perfectly when you get a call, so you don't need to worry about unplugging or removing anything. The effective range is not that great. I put my phone in the far corner of my basement, and once I went upstairs, I was only able to keep the connection only about halfway through the upstairs part of my house (I live in a ranch style house, so it's not very big). The signal started to cut out in the kitchen, which is in the middle of the house, upstairs. It took very little time (perhaps an hour) to charge the adapter with my micro USB Samsung quick charger (not included). It does come with a USB to micro USB plug, though. This is not USB-C compatible (although you may buy a micro USB to USB-C adapter, if you need one).I can't speak for the battery life, because it just came in today. So far, it has held up for the past two hours of continuous music playing. If you plan on going on long walks with just this adapter, I can't say whether you should bring your headphone cables with you, just in case, or not.Well, I think that's it. I hope this review was helpful to you, even if it's in some small way. I'm sure this adapter will eventually be discontinued, but I hope they make newer ones to replace it. I wish I knew this tech existed years ago! I am thoroughly satisfied with it, even though the range isn't the best. I bought it so I can listen to music without annoying headphone wires touching me all the time, and to have the freedom of movement that wireless headphones gives you.

Great design but a bit buggy
So far the sound quality is great, I dig the design and the the recharge cord is long enough to charge directly when plugged into the aux input. Only annoying thing is you have to always go to reconnect via Bluetooth settings. It does not remember the device for some reason automatically. I have another Bluetooth device that is remembered automatically once you connect it the first time. Also had trouble reconnecting to it a few times already. So not great functionality overall.

Itโs a good budget option; good sound but short range.
I live in a 400sq foot one bedroom. If Iโm more than 15 feet or so from the device it cuts out. But the sound quality is good and itโs easy to use other than that. Good budget option too.

Exactly what I needed and a game changer!
The only reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 is due to the sexist advertisement. Women like electronics too! Consider changing that and you might get 5 stars. As for the actual product, it is a game changer! The Bluetooth instantly worked and this battery lasts a LONG TIME! I barely charged it the first time I used it and it lasted about a good week and a half. Imagine a full charge! The sound quality is incredible, and I doesn't mess with my phone calls. *I did click no on accepting calls because I mostly needed it for the radio since I don't have a fancy car with those Bluetooth enhancements.Bottom line, this is an amazing product!

Great product
I've tried several of these in the past few years with few that really worked well. This unit is extremely small. Hooking up and syncing with my Android phone was very easy and synced on the 1st try. The sound quality is very good. Everything works exactly like it should. I'm still on my first charge and it seems to have lasted longer than the stated use time per charge. I haven't tried charging it while in use yet so I'm not sure if it will have that ignition feedback that has been a sound issue on many of the other Bluetooth devices I've tried. About the closest thing to a complaint has been the power conservation mode. It tends to give a little pop as it goes into and comes out of hibernation. Using a traffic/navigation app like Waze, it doesn't seem to always wake up fast enough for you to hear the apps message. If you are playing music or something that is continually/frequently sending a signal to the device, it works fine with Waze and I'm thinking other apps as well.

Canโt get it to work
I went with all 3โs because itโs probably user error, but I bought this for use at work to use with my Theatro (when I searched Theatro products this popped up)I canโt get it to work, and canโt figure it out at all. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

Decent
This item does exactly what it advertises, however, it needs to be restarted by turning off and on again if the battery dies. It only automatically connects to your device if battery doesn't die overnight or if you manually disconnect bluetooth from the device before you get out of your vehicle for the day. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for this minor annoyance, and for the fact that the microphone isn't very sensitive where it's it my vehicle. You'll most likely need a line silencer to avoid static and road noise coming through your car speakers. Also, you may a longer charging cord to reach a usb charger. That being said, it's a great value and I would recommend it to other people looking for a bluetooth solution in an otherwise.

Nifty little device
For the price, this does an excellent job. Sound quality is reduced when simultaneously plugged into a USB socket for charging. Easy to use and surprisingly good battery life.

Good product, but not completely happy
It works fine as bluetooth receiver for cars. I am happy with the battery life and the quality of bluetooth connection - no drops and fast in pairing. Unfortunately, the quality of calls is really poor. People hear the echo of their voice when I call them, and this is something very annoying.I use it with an Android smartphone and the bluetooth icon on the top of the screen does not show the remaining battery capacity.

First time out of the box and it worked perfectly.
Nice presentation and it easily connected to my iphone and iPad.

This little gadget put an end to my restless nights... but battery degrades
I don't often write reviews but felt the need to sing this gadget's praises as it has really solved a problem where other purchases failed. I like to listen to music when I go to bed and have had my Panasonic RP-HV108-K in-ear headphones plugged into my phone for this purpose for several happy years. Unfortunately, the socket on my phone gradually deteriorated over the last five months to the point that no amount of twisting or wiggling could settle on a good connection. My three options were a new phone, a new socket (and the hassle/expense of fitting it) or use bluetooth headphones. I already had some bluetooth headphones but they are the small bulbous type that go right into your ear which made them unsuitable for laying your head on a pillow so I bought some Mixx Audio 'classic fit' because they looked very similar in shape to my Panasonics... They were comfortable enough but being more domed made them more prone to falling out, especially with the large controller dangling. The blue flashing light was also excessive in the dark, but most importantly they were loud. Very loud. I had to turn the volume right down and use my music app's equaliser to reduce it further. This took the music to an acceptable level but the headphones themselves introduced a white-noise hiss that seemed to pulse with the music. Worst of all, when the battery was low the headphones would announce the fact with a loud voice, effectively shouting in my ear!I then found this TekHome Bluetooth receiver and others like it with a whole mix of reviews. I was unsure at first because they still had the potential to be loud and hissy like the bluetooth headphones, but at least my trusty Panasonics have an analogue volume slider that could limit the volume. I saw one review for the TekHome that mentioned the volume was a bit quiet and I knew this was the one I needed!Yes, the volume is quiet compared to the bluetooth headphones I have tried, but all you have to do is turn the volume up on your phone. That's exactly how it should be done, it gives you full control rather than just deafening/loud/off.There's no verbal communication from the receiver but you do get a little melody to indicate power on and then a simple succession of beeps when the battery is low. All of this at a reasonable level. When coupled with my Panasonic's volume slider, I have slept right through several flat batteries without being woken. I could comfortably fall asleep and not be on edge anticipating the intrusion.I have two minor criticisms but neither are enough to drop a star. First of all, the adaptor that is used to plug headphones into it would be better if it were a solid adaptor rather than a 12cm lead, but maybe it's suitable in other situations. Secondly, the power doesn't seem to have an auto standby mode like the headphones I have, so the battery doesn't last as long. However, it is good enough to last several nights before needing a charge. Charging time is about 2 hours which is fairly standard and not an issue. To sum up, the TekHome Bluetooth receiver has enabled me to continue using my wired headphones as if they were still plugged directly into my phone (with the clip on the receiver, I also toyed with the idea of attaching it to my phone case to complete the illusion!) and that's exactly what I needed. The volume is quieter than you might expect from bluetooth headphones but you can just turn the volume up if it's too quiet. There is no background hiss to worry about and apart from the adaptor lead it is small and discrete, less than 4cm long and about 1.5cm square cross-section.UPDATE:After about a year, I realised that the battery didn't seem to be lasting as long. It also didn't seem to charge for as long. I read my review to see how it used to be and confirmed that it was less than half the duration in both cases. Other than that I was still happy with it and since it was relatively cheap, I just bought another hoping the first battery was a bit of a dud. The difference was immediately apparant, though the new one insists on settng the volume to 100% when it connects to my phone and insists on turning itself on (and therefore connecting) when plugged in to charge. As frustrating as those two changes are, the volume can be turned down and unplugging from the charger, switching off and plugging back in leaves it off.The battery, however, remains an issue, and I'm at the same point I was before with it only lasting half as long after a year. I also used it for WhatsApp voice calls recently (for the first time) and was told I sounded muffled and distorted (though test recordings with this and my blutooth headphones hade sounded practically identical...)I have dropped my rating from 5 to 4 stars and will be looking for an alternative this time.

It works! And its really good!
I was hesitant, but this works so very well. Great battery life, and good range. I use mostly for my car so I'm not generally roaming around but the sound quality cannot be faulted
