This thing is massive!
This laser has a huge form factor and a powerful 10 watt laser. It cuts very accurate and works well.

screw together load the software and your ready
It was super easy to put together and teh software and additional buttons are provided.took about 45 minutes and another 10 to find some tables with settings and maybe another 5 to find the focus distance using the GRBL line on an inclined piece of wood method and I have been cranking out one thing after another.I wish they would provide a comprehensive table for power settings and speed so I could have saved the 10 minutes lol.great product and I highly recommend. when I ordered the rotary for this engraver it did not come with directions on exact hook up and within 24 hours of emailing them they sent me a video of exactly what I needed and from meta data it was created for me so WOW great customer service.

Had to return the unit
The unit is packaged professionally but the instructions is a joke. Although product specifications claims that it cuts metals, this unit does not cut metals. Seller said that I should have asked before purchasing!!!With the help of online videos, I finally assembled the unit. However, couldn't find any info about where to connect the wire terminals. So, I was forced to return it without ever using it. It might be a good unit but needs truthful claims and clear instructions

Good laser, bad design
So the first major drawback of this laser is the fact during design, any R&D if there was, and manufacturing, no one caught the fact this laser will not reliably trip the limit switches for the X & Y axis. This makes the laser a huge PITA to use repeatability because the limit switches are set back a little too far to reliably trip when homing. The X Axis switch needs to be moved out 1/8” to get a reliable home. You can ether slot the current holes out or another work around. But slotting the holes out will allow the X axis to slowly drift in over time. The Y Axis switch is built into the motherboard and is shrouded by the aluminum frame. Which comes down to an 1/8” sticking farther out would solve it. This switch is unmovable. My current fix for this was 3D printing a spacer to solve the homing issue. If you don’t have a 3D printer then you’ll have to shim it with tape or something with adhesive or accept the fact doing batch work won’t happen. But shimming with tape or other things may induce drift over time.As for the laser itself, it’s actually pretty good. I’ve used it to engrave a few large signs and other odds and ends. I don’t do any cutting right now so can’t speak for that aspect. One thing that should have been included was a laser focus spacer. They recommend 5mm for engraving and 1mm for cutting and depict you measuring it. Personally I’d prefer a focus spacer like every other laser includes with its sale.As long as you’re willing to sort the Limit switch issue, it’s a large frame diode laser that seems to work well. Just my biggest gripe is the limit switches not being properly located by the manufacturer to reliably home.

Affordable, powerful, requires some tinkering
I have had this laser for a few days and have been pretty impressed with what it can do. Assembly can be a challenge, there are a few good videos on youtube, watch them, they will help. Few bits of advice, pay attention to the limit switch on the x axis, you need to turn it around before assembly AND you want the switch out as far is it will go in order for it to connect with one of the X axis wheels. I'm still trying to get mine to work properly, however this is the solution the support team has suggested.Another warning, the laser will "test" fire upon plugging the machine in, make sure to have something under the laser that you don't mind being burned! I asked support and they said this is normal, I don't like this but can live with it.Support: so far the support team gets 5 stars!!!!! There is a delay due to time zones but ever question has been answered and the team has been very patient with me.I was almost ready to buy a laser that was 3 times the cost of this one, and now happy that I did not. I have a lot of experience building 3d printers and cnc machines so this was not too hard to build, I think that most people can get it built without too much of a challenge. The only hard part was the wiring at the end, there really isn't a guide in the manual for this, but I got it worked out, and I'm sure support could provide anyone who needs it, guidance on where to plug everything in.So far, I'm happy with my purchase!Update, homing works fine once adjusted. This laser works perfect with Lightburn, some other review says it doesn’t but I have only used it with Lightburn, didn’t even try the included software.

Just what I needed
Item works well. Made a box to fit over it so it would be safer.

takes some work
no info on focal point, took 3 different computers to get the software to run correctly.Output of lightburn resulted in garbage on 2 of the computers. I had to contact support to get the correct focal point.( C40 laser = 5mm) not 20-40mm as in the manual. Lightburn wont read the controler and all setup has to be done manually.
