I ordered this to try some traditional Norwegian recipes. I made the apple cake and it was excellent. I took the cake to a Super Bowl party, and one of my friends said it was the best cake he has ever had.

I have been nostalgic for some of my grandma's baking and this book really recreates some of her recipes.The book is broken down into seasons, which I think is a really clever concept and organizes the recipe offerings in a great way. I decided to make something every week and follow the seasons. It's been really wonderful. The actual hardcover book is gorgeous; The pictures the quality of the paper. It's just a beautiful book. I'm not a book person but this really took me by surprise.Oh, and the Apple Cake with Salted Gin Caramel...holy cow this is an amazing dessert!Excellent advice on ingredients and tools you need to do some of this cooking. These recipes are delicious, often simple and a joy to bake.

I was born and raised in Lithuania (which is not that far from Norway), so always have been craving for East European or Scandinavian food. I enjoy this book very much!

Absolutely everything about this book is great, easy to follow recipes , amazingly beautiful photos and much more stuff to read. Happy to see so many recipes similar to what my family cooked back to my European childhood. I pre-ordered this book months ago and was happy when it arrived. Loved the photos and commentary on each recipe. All recipes easy to follow and turn out well. A great accompaniment to Norwegian Baking!

All the recipes looks delicious but the photos of the food are the real treat. I have not made use of the recipes yet but my 20+ years in home baking tells me that they will likely exceed my expectations.
