This is a good light. AA flashlights are my favorite. I only use rechargeable AA batteries, so there's almost no chance of leakage.The EDC2AA does everything very well, no complaints here. But the discontinued Tool 25 that took 2 AA batteries was much slimmer and shorter. I still have mine and it is one of my favorite flashlights.If you want a 2 AA flashlight, then look no further than the EDC2AA. But if you're from Lumintop, then consider bringing back the Tool 25 because compact size is one of the most important considerations in EDC.

The light itself doesn’t stand out to me as being something special but it’s also not a bad light. I have several cree lights with different features such as focus beams or strobe and sos modes but I never really use those features. This light has a simple design, has simple modes and takes two AA batteries so it’s as simple as it gets. The brightness looks strong enough and the build of the light also looks good.I’m not a huge fan of lights that don’t use the blue rechargeable batteries or a built in battery but regular battery lights are still good to have incase of an emergency. Overall the flashlight seems about average but still works fine.

This is my second Lumintop flashlight and I'm very happy with the brand so far. This double AA light has a good size, about the same size as a cigar for reference. Maybe a bit large for EDC but perfect to toss in a tool bag or the nightstand or glovebox. One of the things I really like about Lumintop is the button on the base is easy to find as soon as you pick it up, and half presses easily change brightness settings. Its intuitive and easy to manipulate in the dark. Another nice feature is if you have a flat surface, this will stand on the tailcap which is nice if your electric is out and you want to use this as an emergency lantern. It has to be very flat though, I don't know if this would stand on an outdoor picnic table, and it wouldn't stay upright on my mouse pad.I really don't know if the low 3 lumen setting is accurate, but it's a perfect low setting to rummage around in a tent without blinding yourself or use outside at night while still trying to keep your night vison. Medium is what you'd use in the house if your electric goes out, it's bright enough at close distance to light everything up without hurting your eyes. High is pretty bright at 450 lumens. I have a couple 900-1100 lumen lights, and while 450 lumes won't turn your yard into daylight like those, I'm still impressed with the throw, and it has the perfect balance of spotlight/floodlight. Too many flashlights focus the beam too much to make it appear brighter, but those aren't really that usable for day to day tasks IMO. I'd rather have a semi-focused beam like this one. For reference I've attached some pictures. The fence is exactly 50 yards away in the image with the toy jeep. In the other image the telephone pole is 64 yards away, and the road signs are 85 yards away.

This light fit perfectly in a 3 piece EDC holster (knife, light, multitool) I had so I have been rocking it from time to time. The light is nice and works fairly well, but it's nothing revolutionary or super bright, but more average. There's nothing wrong with average so if it stands the test of time of use and some abuse, I will come back and upgrade my rating.

It's great when it works. However, it constantly has this issue where it doesnt turn on unless I unscrew the top off and reseat the battery weekly. This flashlight only supports certain brands of AA batteries because the inner diameter of the flashlight has such tight tolerances that some batteries simply don't fit without forcing the batteries in. Batteries that fit too tightly are prone to being unseated and therefore you have to go through the troubleshooting procedure outlined above.

I absolutely love this flashlight, the built quality is great, it is slim enough that you can carry it in your jean pockets for hours no issue at all and the level of brightness is really great. Have sprinkled water over it and that has not disrupted its operation at all. So far battery have been great, have been using it for weeks to look for things and no signs of battery depletion yet. So far I'm really pleased with this flashlight and I absolutely recommend it!

I'm giving this flashlight 4 stars overall. It appears to be well-made with an easy-to-operate switch and a solidly-attached pocket clip. The flashlight arrives in a nice box with a set of Duracell-brand AA batteries and a spare set of O-rings. While I don't have a light meter, it is decently bright when tested against other flashlights I own. My one real complaint is that it casts that light in a very broad beam that cannot be focused at all.I like that this flashlight uses standard AA batteries because they're easier to source in a pinch than 123A lithium cells. The drawback to this is that the AA batteries don't last as long. They're also obviously not rechargeable. However, for an EDC light, I think this is an advantage as you're much more likely to be able to source a pair of AA batteries - and you don't have to worry about trying to find a way to recharge when you need it most.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a nice, bright, and compact light. The "touch button" dimmer is a nice feature. It also has an emergency strobe feature with a twist. Clip it to your gear bag for easy grab-and-go. It also comes with nice dura cells instead of the cheapies to keep it last longer.
