This liner is amazing for its cooling properties, and you don’t have to chill it in a fridge first. It helped my infant stop screaming as much on car rides. We have the Chicco Keyfit 30, and the material is not breathable. A doula told me the problem with baby hating the car seat could be that she is overheated. I was desperate and so tried this cooling pad; the screams and crying lessened. The fit of the pad was not ideal for this car seat, but I made it work. My baby outgrew our particular car seat WITH the cooling pad (in the upper/shoulder strap area) by about 4.5 months old. I’m hoping to use the cooling pad again in warmer months with a new/larger convertible car seat once baby is ready for that. Highly recommend this product for cooling baby down and making her more comfortable!

I was really excited about this because my 6 month old gets really hot and sweaty in his car seat and tries to get a heat rash from time to time. I will say the product is well made and sturdy. The problem is it doesn’t seem to stay cool for very long. It’s usually nice and warm by the time said baby is removed. It might be slightly cooler than the car seat, I don’t know. We haven’t tried putting these in the fridge. I don’t want to knock it too bad because it works better than the other things we’ve tried that are suppose to increase air flow. Plus I know something will only stay cool for so long next to a heat source, it’s just basic physics. It’s also annoying that you can’t leave it in the car seat. You’re suppose to hide it from the sun or take inside with you. Like we need another product in the diaper bag or stroller. Maybe I’ll update this review after the Carolina summer.

It’s a cooling mat for a baby seat. Idk why suction is a rating? But anyways.... if you put it in the fridge as it suggests, it does get cold. The coldness does stick around for a while, but the reverse affect also happens when the baby is sitting on it for a long time. The pad holds the heat a little making my little guy sweat. I’m sure it’s added comfort. The kid didn’t mind being on it, but once the coolness wears off it’s just a gel seat pad. DO NOT FREEZE. That can injure the child. Refrigerated already is cold for baby skin, freezing can cause serious harm to the child. I don’t suggest putting it in the fridge overnight or for a long period to cool it. It only needs about 15 minutes to chill. Any long can be too cold for the child.

We had some high hopes of this pad cooling our babies car ride experience but sad to say it doesn’t work very well. We still take her out of her seat and her back is sweaty and she screams the whole car ride from being over heated. Our car is air conditioned but still doesn’t help. I’ve almost resorted to a frozen gel pack under her butt to Cool her off.

This thing is awesome. My son would get sooooo sweaty even on a 5 minute car ride to the grocery store. This thing helps a ton. Still kinda hard to do long hour+ trips but certainly helps in the Texas heat. You do have to take it in if you to stay inside anywhere long because it will get hot just like the car seat, but it fits in a diaper bag folded up so no harm no foul. Doesn't affect the safety straps at all. He's definitely more comfortable which makes me one happy momma.

We live in a very warm climate and needed something to help my baby when he over-heats from crying. This works good after you we put it in the refrigerator, but does return to room temperature or the temperature that’s on it, which is my over heating baby, after time. The cooling affect only lasts for so long. I expected the cooling affect to be continuous but it actually warms up if my baby does. Looks well made though and will continue using after we put in refrigerator or until we find a better product.

My only complaint is that it is too wide at the top and top car seat straps won’t go over the shoulders. I only use it when he doesn’t need to be buckled in.

Amazing! Despite Being in the super hot ups truck and then sitting on my porch for an hour in direct sun, this came out of the box slightly chilled!We noticed the longer we would lay our face or hand on it, the cooler it got but not ice cold.This thing is literally amazing! I do wish it had some kind of thin cloth to go over it as it is plastic coated. it is much smaller than I expected but will fit just fine in our graco extend to fit car seat.The carry bag is a plus and has two cloth ring that could hook right into an umbrella stroller.Totally worth the price!

Our baby was getting very hot in her car capsule. This was purchased in an attempt to remedy this. It didn't work as well as we would have hoped. Certainly not suited for Australian temperatures.

The item did arrive on time, but the prpduct it's self was disappointing and does not work as described, it doesn't retain coolness and is slippery so I am constantly having to adjust it before my children sit back in thier seats.
