I'm a retired sr and purchased this DVD/CD player the other day. It was incredibly easy and quick to hook up. It took about 5 mins and I was watching a DVD. The remote has a large face and again simple to see and use. Worth the money. Only gave it 4 Stars and that was generous.ive only seen 3 films . I don't believe that's enough time to evaluate it. Simple controls, good picture quality; (provided HDMI cable too short). Per manufacturer's FAQs... unit is not compatible with universal remotes i.e. you must use the remote provided or the front panel buttons.

Overall meets my requirements for a cost effective media player. Would have liked it to play mp4 format also, though.

This is a piece of junk first thing is you hook it up cables are junk don’t work thank god I had other at my house next thing you plug it in grab the remote and ya as expected it don’t come with the batteries you will need 2 AAA batteries so get them now then you open the tray insert your disc and yes it does work wow amazing but it sounds loud and like something is messed up inside I said maybe it needs to run for a little bit yup I was right it only got louder and begins skipping and freezing up after you get maybe 25 mins into the movie now I tried it 3 times with 3 different brand new disc all do say thing this unit is biggest pieces of junk you will ever through your money away on don’t make the same mistake I made just pay more money and buy a good one I just figured we don’t use it much so I figured just grab a cheap one well it’s real cheap it’s junk basically do not buy

When showing a dvd the picture flashes in and out. Terrible product.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm super happy with this dvd player cause its dvd region all player. I can play all my Japanese pop DVDs now !! I highly recommend this!! Also the green color is so cute !!

I got this DVD player to play DVDs I have that are Region 2 (the rest of my DVDs are Region 1). This DVD player can play them both! So it most likely is a region free DVD player. Also it came with audio cables if you need those and an HDMI cord (which is all I need to plug up to my TV). I don't have any issues with it, it's a simple DVD player to use.
