I just got regular width which is what I always get, but these are not wide enough. These are narrower than usual, so if you have wide feet definitely get the extra wide

Q: Arch support for high arches?

I don't know if they are good for high arches. They just give a lot of arch support and are very comfortable. I would think they would work for high arches.

these are men's, not only is my husband thrilled with the comfort this is a great company to do business with .

Q: Is that just stretchable fabric on the shoe top or is it something more resistant to abrasion and wear? If just fabric, no way is it going to hold up!

These are the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I have ever worn . I have 3 pair , Navy Blue , Brown and Grey . If they get dirty , just wipe then with a wet rag . The material does stretch and is very tuff stutt . I have had these shoes for almost a year and I wear one pair or another everyday . Hope this helps .
