This does work great, but I gave it 4/5 stars because the key fob didn't come with its own instructions & I had forgotten that the original key fob that came with the alarm had to be programmed (and how to do it). So, SAVE YOUR DIRECTIONS for the main alarm, you'll need them for things like this. To prog. this key fob, just follow the very first set of directions under the "Programming the Alarm" heading. Keep in mind, when they refer to "code button" (number 7) they do not mean on the front dialpad, rather they are referring to the button described in the very first section called "Controls", Fig. A, in which the legend shows item #7's location and lets you know this is the "code button". It is a hidden black button under the back cover. As an unexpected bonus, this item also came with a second alarm warning sticker, and 2 spare small screws (which are a mystery to me, but ok).

This key fab is simple to use and program! Here's how... Take the cover off the main unit. Press the black button on top know as #7, and press the on button of your new key fab. Here the beep? That's it. Your alarm is set.
