Boyfriend loves it, so I am happy with the purchase.

Our son has enjoyed it and has moved on to a "real" one. Now if i can only get him a job that involves butterfly knifes! He has it all day! :-)

This works well aside from the bushings getting loose at the pivots, a common problem. After about a week the lock on the handle broke off. But getting lots of use out of it.

Upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised by the materials used for this trainer balisong. With my experiences of trainers in the past, they’re usually cheaply made and use sub-par materials in the craftsmanship. The holes and crevices within the two handles made using this trainer extremely easy and lightweight (felt like a feather!). For the price, whether you’re having doubts or not, just go for it. I was initially hesitant on making this purchase due to the frequent reviews on the stiffness of it, but for me it wasn’t rigid at all. My advice? Go for the purchase anyway, for the relatively inexpensive price, it isn’t a terrible hit to your wallet if you dislike it.

This product was really fun to learn on, for a couple of hours. Until the metal handles started smacking my knuckles and fingers and bruising me pretty bad. The knife was lubed well and flipped and twirled awesome for me, for about 3 days. I do have AD/HD, so I was flipping it every day for hours, and it's dry now and sometimes it takes full hard-on wrist flicks to get it to open and close.It's great to start if you are gentle, and keep some grease on hand!

I was looking to get an expensive live blade balisong knife, but wanted to try my hand at using a trainer first for obvious reasons. I wanted to keep the cost down without sacrificing quality, and this delivers. I've dropped this a bunch, flipped it a bunch, and play with it all day. Really impressed for the money.

Got this for a friend, but it was super stiff, but other than that it looks great, it's got a good balance.

The stainless steel has some nice weight to it - not overbearing, but just right. Overall, the craftsmanship feels solid and not at all flimsy. The knife moves freely and I have yet to have any issues with the hinges thus far. I really dig the design, and would love to see a purple version in the future!
