I have to admit I was a bit confused and thought that the manufacturers had made a mistake. I was assuming the openings on the plastic cover had something to do with the magnets on the main flap. So I was a little frustrated thinking I'd spent a lot of money on something, part of which was useless.After having a think about it though I realised how silly I'd been, and that the clips are just to slide over the outer edge of the main flap, per my picture.Overall this product is pretty expensive for what it is, though it comes with a bag of cat litter- which in itself is almost going for £40 a bag at the moment.Other than that - it seems really good and will eventually pay for itself in comparison to the official replacement cardboard trays.

Good replacement for the mega expensive boxes for the petsafe automatic litter tray now that petsafe are taking the ansolute p*ss with their price rises.For the reviewers that couldnt work it out, the plastic strip clips on to replace the magnetic part of the cardboard boxes.Marked down by one star as price is too hogh for what you get

Got this after the price increases on the disposal trays went insane. It works really well - you clip one piece to the part that lifts instead of magnets. It also comes with a load of liners to make cleaning easier. Cats don't notice the difference so I'm very happy.
