Divine Justice (The Camel Club Book 4)

Better than #3...
I prefer this story best out of the 4 so far. Not as easy to guess plots. You can tell this book is in David Bald acc it's earlier work. His stories are tighter and more plausible in hid later works, like The Memory Series and the other series works.

loved this series!!
I’m in love with the characters in this series. I think there is one more. It’s heart pounding and thrilling at the same time. Baldacchino is a master at thrillers!! Loved it.

Another superior read
Started off a bit slow, but quickly turned into the exciting, "can't put it down" read we all expect from David Baldacci. Thanks, David!!

Another great Camel Club thriller!
David Baldacci is probably the number one political thriller writer in the world. His novel "Divine Justice" is the 4th book in his Camel Club series, and It's one of his best! The characters are fully developed and relatable, the story line is full of twists, turns, and tension, and the story is told always with a touch of humor. A great read!!

This series just keeps getting better and better
A story of loyalty, bravery and, as aptly titled, DIVINE JUSTICE. It would be nice if this Justice actually occurred in real life!

Probably one of the best adventure/political mystery books out there
This book is smoothly written and the characters are unique and likeable. The plot structure is interesting as there are sort of two plots: the people chasing John Carr down and the events John Carr gets involved in as he attempts to hide out and avoid capture. Of course, it all comes together in the end.You can read this on its own without having read the earlier Camel Club books. However, the experience will be a bit more full if you read the earlier ones, all of which are also good.Sure some things are a little over the top and would not likely happen in real life, but generally this is a fun read with interesting characters who are not usually stereotypes. Worth a shot.

So So
It was okay but I wish I had read this review first which commenced:“If you haven't read the earlier books in this series (The Camel Club, The Collectors, and Stone Cold), stop right here. You will like all of those books much more than this one . . . and you will like this one less than you otherwise would if you start with The Camel Club.”I will give this series another go owing to what I hope is an accurate assessment of this book, ‘Divine Justice,’ as articulated above.I must say I quickly realised I was starting somewhere in the middle of the series but that wasn’t a big problem as the author neatly recapped on the essentials that had preceded the events of this book.I enjoyed the book a lot as far as a certain stage and was engrossed with the character of Oliver Stone aka John Carr. He’s a bit like Reacher on steroids and more likeable. The reason I can’t award more than 3 stars is the plot sometime after Stone finds “refuge” in the town of Divine, Virginia, soon becomes a tad far fetched and for me, stretches the bounds of credibility. The Dead Rock Super Max penal facility events, for example, were farcical and not worthy of a bad B-movie.

Another good story, well told
I’m getting used to the twists and turns of Baldacci’s writing. The plots that stretch credibility almost to breaking point. The convenient “as it happens” moments that put just the right tool, weapon or piece of evidence in the clubs’ hands at the most fortuitous moment. The coincidental meetings in implausible scenarios that fuel the plot. I see it chapter after chapter. He even highlights them in the text. And I don’t care. It all makes for a bloody great read. Just keep your disbelief utterly suspended and enjoy the ride!

I had tears in my eyes
Another fabulous Camel Club book, every character excelled in the storyline, can’t wait to read the final book of this series. I’ve read many of David Baldacci’s books but so far Oliver Stone is my favourite character, brought to life in wonderfully written prose.Thank you David.

Good Book to enjoy.
I am a great fan of the Camel Club Books. I think it is great to have older "hero's" battered by time, but with a wealth of knowledge. I decided to re-read the first three books after reading this one to see if my thoughts "this book is different from the others" was true. I do think David Baldacci has moved away from the original concept of the Camel Club in this book. I still enjoyed it and have given it 5*, but I was left with a feeling of sadness that he had not kept his plot the same. I think this has become too wide reaching and involves too many people not just the original cast of the Camel Club. Having said that it was till a great book, and the characters are well written and the plot moves along. To get the best from this book, you may find you have to read at least Book one to learn all about the whims and fancy's of the Camel Club members.

A beautifully crafted novel by Baldacci
I've read this book out of sequence but given that fact it took none of the brilliance off the complicated plot. I marvel at how David Baldacci manages to adapt his style to the various different settings his novels play out in. I must have read about 10 books by him now and none have disappointed me. Pure brilliance.
