I got these to travel. I'm 6'7", low toilets with nothing to grab getting up or down are.......! Unprotected showers are dangerous, before I got these I've had some bad falls, nothing broken yet, but had a bad deep elbow laceration in a Hilton tub shower, I still have a painful scar as a reminder!They need to go on a continuous smooth surface. I've had them loosen on some painted wood surfaces by toilets and had to reapply usually successfully. Usually OK in showers with large enough tiles for the suction pads or plastic surfaces. I mount them either horizontal or vertical, I've had them slip when diagonal. Check and make sure they are solid before loading.

So easy to put up and such a quality product for basically anywhere in your home. I put 2 of these safety bars in each of my bathrooms and wish I had done it years ago !I feel so much safer in the shower stall . These are strong handles that should be installed in all of your bathrooms.Definitely would buy them again !

It worked for two years, then it stoped sticking to the wall, now I need to get another set.

My shower is ceramic tile glossy finish. I’m older and not steady on my feet. I did not want to place a grab bar into the shower as a permanent grab bar. The suction cup grab bars are absolutely amazing. They have been up for two months now have not lost their suction. I have not had to reset them, and they have not moved and are very firmly suction to the wall I feel very safe in the shower. If I feel the least bit woozy hi hold on to me please grab bar. Feel completely safe. Showering at this time. This is a absolute perfect find.

well I live in the Caribbean, Trinidad to be exact. So in order for me to receive this product I had to send it to my skybox in Miami for them to ship it here to me of which I would incur cost to get it after Customs and Duty checks of $152.00TT, which is about $21.50US then I paid $161.00TT which is $23.00US.I received the item today. I was so excited to get home and put it to use, had major back surgery and I have muscle issues, my bathroom is a high step in and I off balance a lot, hence the reason for this product purchase. I followed the instructions which was so easy and after multiple attempts it just kept on falling and that gave me anxiety. It refused to stay on both in the bathroom and toilet area.I don't know what can be done if you have a more durable one. I really am disappointed cause I need it. Sending it back will come at a cost to me again cause I am overseas.The seller wrote back telling me about the surface of my tiles which causes the handle not to work, they are telling me to use a link to get a refund but I am not seeing that. They are not being very helpfulJennylind

This is exactly what was needed without having to hire a professional to drill holes! It was easy to install and it was exactly as described in text and video. What made me try this particular product was in the video the person who installed the product put all his weight onto the handle and it didn't budge. The price was good too and it didn't look cheesy or clunky. Very happy with this product.

They would not hold

The suction power of these grab bars is incredible. I am afraid if I pull too hard, I will rip the tile off the wall. They have been installed in our shower for four days and show no signs of loosening. That doesn't mean that I don't check them each time my wife uses them. Bought them as an alternative to drilling into tile and installing permanent grab bars, as my wife recovers from her surgery and needs only temporary help in shower. Definitely recommend these for anyone who needs a temporary grab bar in the shower.
