Fantes Sausage Maker with Suction Base and 3 Nozzles, 2.2-Pound Capacity, The Italian Market Original since 1906

My wife decided to make fresh Polish sausage for Thanksgiving since I expressed a desire to have some, so she found this little sausage stuffer. It is probably the same as the other ones that look exactly the same on Amazon (this was made in China as well), but this was slightly cheaper than those. It was easy to set up, easy to clean. My wife used the middle sized nozzle for the hog casings and oiled up the nozzle to make it easier to slide the casings on. It does not hold a lot of meat, and we had to fill it 3 or 4 times for the 5 lbs. of sausage meat we had. So if you're making vast quantities of sausage, this probably isn't the one for you. But for the occasional sausage maker, this worked great.

So first the bad... It's small. You'll find yourself reloading this stuffer often. If plan to make more than 3-5 pounds of sausage at a time, this is not the stuffer for you. Now the good. It's sturdy, a bit more robust than the picture implies. Easy to use and easy to clean. DOes a good job for what it's designed to do. The suction mount is sturdy and strong, and the stuffing mechanism is solid. The real question you have to ask yourself is do you want to be reloading this unit with meat 4-5 times for a 5 pound batch, or get a bigger unit with a more robust hopper. In the end, I think you will be happy with this unit if you are a casual sausage maker.

I could not be happier with my new sausage stuffer! I was having a lot of irritation stuffing sausage with my grinder, because the ground meat was not feeding through the grinder perfectly. When I used the plunger to push the previously ground meat down, my casings were ballooning from air. My new sausage stuffer is easy-to-use and easy to fill. I made 15 pounds or so, and even though I had to fill it a few times, we ended up with a bunch of beautiful sausages.

The media could not be loaded. I don’t see where on the box says hand wash only. I washed in the dishwasher and email from the parts are gone . On top of it, off the the plunger , handle and all the other hands parts, the metal/grey thing is coming off, so it can’t be used anymore. What waste of money!

This is s perfect tool to start learning and experimenting with making sausages. It is a manageable size, and will accommodate a 1- to 2-lb run of sausage meat. And its modest price is well-suited to begin the learning process. It feels extremely well-made and should last a long time. We're looking forward to trying more interesting sausage recipes.

First off let me say I am a chef but I don’t make sausage regularly so this worked perfect for my needs. Only drawback is the amount of sausage that can be loaded in is a small amount so you have to continuously reload it. To fix that you would need to buy one of the $100+ dollar stuffers but I don’t make it that often so this works great!

I got this for my mother who makes sausages, very easy to use and produces lots of sausages with little effort and in a short period of time, easy to clean and the suction is strong, sticks to the countertop no matter how hard you move it, great purchase

I love this simple sausage stuffer. It is perfect for beginners, easy to use, and is priced appropriately. It is also very easy to clean (hand wash only).Unfortunately, I am giving it only 3/5 stars because it is already starting to rust on the inside. I have used it only about 5 times since May. I take good care of my kitchen tools and I don’t leave things sitting around in water, so I don’t think this is a user-error problem. Would give 5/5 if it was better quality.

Great little machine. Been using for almost 3 years now and has held up really well. Only issue is the suction plate (rubber) at the base that secures the unit to the counter has begun to separate, Top layer from bottom, around the metal edge. Would really like to order a new part rather than rebuy as my machine is as prestine as day 1!Hoping this review can reach the right person so we can get this going as this is a great machine!!!Thanks!Denis

The media could not be loaded. Muy bien, padrísimo el equipo, súper practico, tiene un mecanismo de vacío que lo adhiere a las superficies, varios son a mano alzada. Un punto para esto, el material de aluminio y el pvc excelentes, cero rebaba del metal. El punto menos es que si deja algo de carne entre el embudo y el final del gusano... fácil un chorizo de 10 cm. Estuviera genial un aditamento para prensar ese residuo, tuve que hacer manual (desmontar y quitar con paletas).
