So I play goalie in a floor hockey league and my gear smells less than pleasant after a game. I also live in a small apartment, so there's not a lot of extra room for my gear, so during the season, I keep it in the trunk of my SUV. I also live in San Diego, so the sun often bakes down onto the gear, which just adds so many varied aromas.I was using Fabreeze but that stuff would beat up my gear and hurt the fabrics and fray the stitchings and make everything super stiff for the next time I played. A fellow goalie recommended Defunkify and I'm very happy he did. Not only does it kill the odor, it has a fresh minty smell, which is nice. The other stuff would like cross bread with the sweat and make a sickly smelling odor waft through the air. With Defunkify, nothing but mint AND it goes easy on your gear. Night and day.The only reason this wasn't 5 star is that I've ordered two bottles so far, and both times the spray mechanism's hose came busted, as I wasn't getting the normal fluid spray, just little dribs and drabs which is kind of annoying. But still worth fighting through for the benefit.

Stinky cleats that NOTHING works on? Sport bags that you don't want brought into your house? That was me, a soccer/baseball mom who had tried every product I could find on my son's cleats, catcher's gear, etc. Then I took a risk and purchased a $20 bottle of Defunkify. I mean, why not? I was gagging every time I walked into my mudroom! And guess what? The stuff actually really, truly works! Do I have to spray his cleats again after several practices/games? Sometimes, but nothing would be able to permanently hold up to THAT odor! All kidding aside, I did NOT get this product free and I WILL buy it again. In fact, I'm going to put it as a subscribe item, it's that good. Keep up the great work, makers of Defunkify! I can't tell you how much this mom appreciates it!

This product was claimed to get rid of shoe odor. It did nothing. I sprayed it heavily a couple different times into a pair of slip ones, no change in odor. I did spray it on my car seats and it seemed to refresh the car a bit. I think the other reviews are misleading. Regretful to have paid so much for something that doesn't work.

I hate wearing socks with my casual clothes but my feet sweat really bad and cause my shoes to stink. I couldn't stand the smell of the shoes and Gold Bond Foot powder did not help. This product does the job and the spearmint scent is very pleasant. It really works. I even spray my flip flops after every shower.Only improvement would be to improve the spray to a more mist setting rather than a spritz.

This product caught my eye as a chemist because it contained ionic silver that has proven antibacterial and antifungal properties. I tried this on a pair of shoes that have never not smell after wearing. Much to my happiness, it worked! No smell after wearing. I’m sold, nice product. Probably best to keep away from pets and out of waterways. ;)

Ok so I absolutely love this product!! We have 3 dogs, and I work in marine sciences wearing waders and waterproof clothing that I can’t wash too often. This all natural product not only kills the stink, it smells great too!! I honestly wish I could buy in gallon jugs.

This stuff has a very strong odor. Too much for my family. I tried to spay sneakers and it caused an irritation to their skin.

I originally bought this product for my kid’s stank feet but then started using it on everyone’s shoes. It definitely keeps shoes fresher between washing and helps with soccer cleat funk.
