They are absorbent but they snap too easily

These work well! We put a few them in the fridge to get rid of some moisture. Did the trick in about an hour. However they break pretty easy. They are kind of the consistency of chalk. I dropped one on the counter when opening and it broke..see photo. I like that the size and shape are great because it takes up virtually no space in the refrigerator. Another down side is that everything is written exclusively in Chinese. Luckily, it's not a complicated product to use.

I think I misinterpreted what these are supposed to do. I though these would absorb water in humid environments, however, it appears the stick has to actually touch the water to absorb it. So it’s not great at preserving things.
