Scandicrafts Stainless Steel 6 Inch Grapefruit Spoon

I got my purchase yesterday. I noticed on an earlier review that the labels were difficult to remove. I ordered the spoons anyway. That review was correct, the bar code labels are tough to remove. I have had issues with labels on other items in the past and this is the method that I use. I heat the spoon on the opposite side of the label with a hair dryer until the adhesive softens. This takes about 45 seconds. Once the adhesive softens, the label usually lifts easily without tearing. If the adhesive comes up with the label all you need to do is wash the spoon and you are ready to go. If adhesive residue is left on the spoon spread a little peanut butter on it and wipe with a paper towel. The oils will dissolve what is left and the you can just wash the spoon. I usually use WD-40 for this step but since these are utensils, peanut butter is safer. As far as the spoons go, they look good, have a nice finish. They are a bit thinner than I expected but do the job. I hope this review helps.

I purchased these spoons and found them to be very good. They scoop out the grapefruit very nicely. But, as mentioned earlier, the spoons come with a sticker attached to every spoon. Here is the solution for getting those stickers off. I put the spoons in a pan and heated the pan at a very low setting. The spoons were positioned point down so that the sticker was facing up. After heating the spoons just a little bit, take a dishcloth and pick up the spoon by the handle. You can take tweezers or your fingernail to pop up a corner and peel them off. Mine came off clean without any adhesive left behind. If you do have adhesive left behind, the spoon may not be heated enough. Also you can take some rubbing alcohol and rub it off.

The spoons themselves are a nice weight, although a bit smaller than I expected. . .and in hindsight, perhaps a bit pricey for just 4 spoons that don't match the rest of my silverware.Similar to other reviewers, I had quite a bit of difficulty getting the labels off.It really makes no sense to me why the labels would be placed on the spoons rather than the individual bags they are wrapped in.

these look like they are kind of thick and sturdy with the flat bottom- so they would match my flatware. That is why I ordered them and was willing to pay 10-11 bucks for four spoons. They are very thin metal- which is fine because eating grapefruit isn't carving stone, but they don't seem to be worth the cost. They are not the same style as in the picture and have a completely plain, curved bottom. They also each came with their very own barcode sticker stuck to the back of the spoon part, and they won't come off. I'm going to have to buy goo gone to remove them.They WERE delivered a day early though!

I used these spoons as a child at my older sisters house. It is the one thing she gave me upon getting my own place and was very special. Over the years I had lost or misplaced the one spoon she handed down to me, so was very happy to see I could get these from amazon. I have looked and looked at stores and not been able to find. The quality is great, they look like the picture. I have now had mine for several mts and they have maintained color and still look brand new. thank you

Spoon set arrived and contained 1 Serrated and 3 unfinished spoons - Made in China. Seller did no QA control and just shipped plastic wrapped spoons.That's my second review. They get the job done.....the job being, eating a grapefruit. However, they arrived with barcode stickers on each spoon and I can't competely remove them. I'm hoping the stickers will come off with a few washes. I wouldn't order from this seller again for that very reason.

The stickers were a pain to get off. I boiled the spoons for about 10 minutes in water, then let them cool, then still needed goo-gone to get rid of the rest of the gunk. Then dishwashing to get rid of the goo-gone. But now they seem fine.
