I'm a size 20 UK and ordered a 20, they fit perfect with room for bigger thighs if you have them. The pattern IS embroidered, not printed and quite embossed. The denim is thick and feels hard wearing unlike some jeans I've brought in the past even from reputable stores. These will definately be in my wardrobe for more than one summer.
