I would say that this is a knock off of the Rite Press (RP), but I think it's actually an improvement! I had the stainless steel RP ever since their Kickstarter in 2018, and I loved it to death (it finally broke after daily use for 4 years). They made a plastic version that had terrible reviews, so I searched for an alternative stainless steel twist-off bottom french press. I came across this one and it looked exactly like the RP one! The same twist off bottom, stainless steel, removable thermometer, and magnetic hourglass timer. But I think the real improvement is that the rubber gasket that goes between the removable bottom and the main cylinder is actually beveled so that it gives a much better seal than the RP. I'm so happy I found this one! Cheers!

As another reviewer noted, this is a knockoff of the Rite Press which was a Kickstarter project that was plagued with completion and final product delivery problems. I got lucky and managed to get their smaller version which I’ve used almost every day since receiving it sometime in 2018. Another company bought the Rite Press patent and I have one of theirs too. One thing I feel Rite Press got correct was the ability to push the plunger all the way down to grounds so that they aren’t left swimming in the last ½ inch of water; that in itself is my only complaint with this press and the one that actually purchased the Rite Press patent altered and got wrong. While this is still easier to clean than a traditional French press because of the twist off bottom, who wants to dump all that water in their trash can and give the trash bag something it can leak all over the place? To mitigate this I simply lean the press on the side of the sink and let it drain for a bit, but it would be much nicer to just press the plunger all the way down and pour off that last bit of water so I’m dumping water-free grounds in my trash can. Aside from that, this is a great press that makes great flavorful coffee 4 mugs or so at a time. Its double walled insulated construction makes a hugeKeeps the brew warm for a good long time too. Well made and solid.

I am very pleased with this press I use it everyday. It definitely keeps my coffee hot longer than a more traditional glass press. I would recommend.

Like others are saying. The magnet needed to be super glued. My stem broke off from the filter within one month of daily use. Hard to unscrew, and I'm a guy with a strong grip. I think I will eventually break the handle trying to unscrew the darn thing.Customer service was responsive and gave me a 50% refund, otherwise it's a 2 star product. I recommend investing in a better made one.

I've only had one time when grounds got into my coffee, but I think it was my fault. It makes a good enough amount of coffee. It's sturdy so I think this is a lifetime purchase. My only gripe is I can't get the bottom to unscrew

Everything about this French press is logical and my search for the best process for the best flavor is finally met. Bravo to its creators.

I got this because I wanted coffee maker with no glass. It costs more to replace the carafe than buying a whole new coffee maker. Well, on that front it's great. The mesh filter was showing wear after just a couple of uses though.It makes coffee fine, but the additional steps of heating the water, etc. made my coffee drinkers go back to the old maker. I warned them when the glass carafe breaks it's back to this one.A big plus for me (I have about 3' total counter space) is that is takes up less counter space and is light enough to actually take off the counter and store elsewhere when not in use.
