BEWARE - Item not as described
Beware, the headline and description claims to be a rechargeable vac but the one they have sent me twice now calls for D batteries and does not include the poles and other things that are shown in the description. I did a replacement because I figured it was an easy mistake to send the wrong one but yet again I am left to do a return so I can get my money back and go buy the one I wanted. Will not buy again from seller.

Decent Vacuum for Limited Use
The media could not be loaded. We got this vacuum for the spa to vacuum up leaves and debris the filter doesnât catch.First, the 3 pole pieces were very hard to get on. We initially thought they wouldnât work at all, but a rubber mallet made it work. That shouldnât be necessary. The vacuum is made of very hard plastic, It vacuums okay. Itâs not super suction, and the collection bin is very small and doesnât hold much.Itâs suited for a spa, pool steps and benches, or baby pools, etc.Like most other vacuums in this class, it canât be left plugged in for more than 24 hours or the battery will suffer. A charge takes about four hours. This vacuum definitely serves a purpose, but I think the present price of $149 is high for what you get for a very simple, average spa vac.

Terrific spa vacuum, especially for shallow steps...
The media could not be loaded. THE GOOD:--------------* The distance from the tip of the vacuum head, to the water inlet port, is approximately 5 inches. What this means is that only 5 inches of the vacuum needs to be submerged for it to operate. This is great for shallow steps. I have other handheld pool vacuums in my collection that cannot do shallow steps.* 40 minute runtime is not a lot, but it only requires 4 hrs charging. This is a spa vacuum, so 40 minutes is plenty, you can also spot vac the main pool if you want.* Filter bag is easy to access and clean.* Suction power is pretty much standard for vacuums made for the SPA tier. The key is to move slow. If you move too fast, you'll just be stirring the debris. I've reviewed the Pool Blaster 1500 Pro by this same company, it's their best vacuum at around $800, and you know what? It still has the same issues if you move fast. So don't get caught up in price, it's the technique.* Three section pole is included. It is not telescopic.* Of course, charger is included as well.THE BAD:------------* The three section pole is plastic, and very light weight. You're better off using your aluminum pole if you have one.* Due to the build design, there is a lot of buoyancy. The vacuum constantly wants to flip and bounce up on you. That is why the plastic pole included is useless to me. My aluminum pole makes it easier to keep the vacuum down. Please watch my video for tips on how to deal with this buoyancy issue.* Charger has only one led color, solid blue. It does not change to indicate you're done with charging. So just go with what the manual says, which is 4 hrs. Just unplug it when you know it's been 4 hrs.Overall, I really like this Pool Blaster for vacuuming the spa, as well as spot vacuuming the main pool. This is the perfect vacuum for shallow steps, since it only needs to be submerged about 5 inches. It is now a part of my daily routine. I'll go 4-Stars overall.

Weak suction, overpriced
This thing is a rip off. Should be worth $50 max. This should have a higher voltage battery / motor. I've made it work but it takes patience and good contact with the surface to clean up sand and debri. On top of that, the contacts to make it turn on are delicate, I often have to keep screwing & unscrewing it multiple times before it decides it's connected to the battery component and wants to actually turn on.

Only worked 1X
Worked once and then would not power on.

Smaller Capacity - Good Suction - Easy To Empty
Conclusion: If you don't plan to vacuum/sweep the entire pool floor, this is an awesome tool. It is well built, nicely engineered, and comes with the name "Pool Blaster", which I have used a lot and will do so for the forseeable future.Full Disclosure - I've owned 3 of these handheld debris suction vacuums over the past 7 years. Everyone of them is by Pool Blaster. Everyone of them has worked very well for me. So when this one came available, I decided to give it a try. Here is my take-away from not only this pool blaster but the history that I have had with them. This one is smaller than the rest and is meant for smaller pools and spas. I have a backyard pool that is basically 45 feet long by 23 feet wide. Not small by backyard standards so what good would this do? It is wonderful, that is what it is. We have the infloor cleaners that direct most of the debris toward the main floor drain but, they leave small piles of debris (rock / sand) in various places around the pool. We use the pool blasters to hit those areas to keep the pool clean.So... we used this pool blaster to sweep up debris that is in an area of about 1 square foot (not like sweeping the entire pool floor), and then move on to the next pile. We had 3 piles that we hit and the blaster worked very well. You need to pay attention to the bottom of the blaster as it is flat only when held properly. That is where you get the most suction. We spent about 6 minutes walking around looking for various targets so the time of the battery life has not been tested but it worked perfectly during that time.As for the product itself... The body unscrews from the nozzle to expose the charging port. The port has a rubber plug that is smaller than a pencil eraser. one image in the instructions is hard to see but, it is telling you to NOT FORGET putting the plug back in before you screw the nozzle back onto the body. Note, if you pull the rubber plug out of the wrong hole, it is not easy to get back in, so be sure to pull the rubber plug out of the charging port... it has a raised area about the hole.Helpful hint... a bit of O-ring grease on the O-ring of the body/nozzle connection should go a very long way in preventing damage and promoting easy open/closing of the body for charging. The mesh collection bag is good quality and rinses easily. The backflow prevention flap (rubber door if you will) on the collection opening works well to not allow debris to flow out as you power off the unit but, you really should get in the habbit of rotating the tool upward, powering it off, then lifing it out of the water. Over time, the flap will weaken inward and may not work flawlessly in the future. If you have stuck with me this far, it should tell you 1, I like to share my thoughts... 2, I must think a lot of the pool blaster brand and these handheld vacuums. I do... and I do.By The Way: The provided pole is not useful. It is hard to assemble and well... just use your everyday pole, you'll be happy you did.Cheerz
