Stunning
The world of show dogs is definitely an interesting one. There are so many show collar options and believe me, I feel like we’ve tried them all.My Rhodesian ridgeback and I truly enjoy showing, but it took a while to find something that worked for both of us. I was tired of paying $35-50 per show collar (martingale, rolled leather, padded nylon, rolled nylon, etc.). I kept seeing dogs with gorgeous thin metal collars but was always told they had found them at a previous show, and never remembered the name of the vendor. So, I came to amazon for help and I am honestly so glad I did. Before, my boy would always find a way to roll his collars over his huge neck muscles down to the center of his neck, pull, and then pull himself into choking/coughing fits. This collar is thin enough to fit between his massive muscles and ears.. AND ACTUALLY STAYS THERE!At first I was worried about the sturdiness, but this chain easily holds my 100+ ridgeback. He also pulls WAY less and the noise of the chain is usually enough to get him to focus back on me without the drama.Getting the chain through the loop was honestly difficult. It’s so tightly linked that it didn’t just slip through the O ring like a typical slip/choke collar. It took some finagling, twisting, and linking, but it finally went through without damaging the chain.I’d love to try a slightly thicker chain to see if it yields similar results.

Broke after 1.5 mo.
I like the look. It broke after a month and a half. I have an 83 pound dog. He was barking at another dog through the fence. One of the links broke. Glad it was through a fence so the dogs didn't make contact.

Love It
A great collar if you want to learn to show your dog. My dog is 37 pounds and works great on her. I am learning to show her and it works wonderful. Eventually will show her in the collar too as I love it. Collar is very strong and won't easily break. Very pretty and looks good on my dog making her look nice and special in it. Make sure to measure your dog's neck well as I ordered a size to small at first. Though they were great about me returning it and getting a bigger size. Still a great collar and would buy it again. Just make sure to really measure your dog's neck and go a size up.

Updated review
Strong, thin and gices dog a quick correction without being overly aggressive. That was my original review several weeks after I put the choker on my dog. A few weeks ago my mom took the choker off and left it sitting on a table where I found it about a week ago. Since it was off the dog, I decided to check it closely for wear or stress points. Two of the negative reviews complained that the choker they purchased failed and broke suddenly. Ive found an abnormal link in the chain that is thiner and longer than the others. I did not notice this when I purchased it in may. I don’t recall any event which could have caused the damage. Regardless of how it happened, the flaw or damage is substantial and critical. And I am not willing to bet my dogs life on this chain! Chains are designed to keep the dog from getting away and being seriously or fatally injured. They are also the only way of preventing my dog from causing injury id the dog panics. A chain that breaks can’t perform either function. There is another way that the link was possibly damaged. That being, the manufacturer spliced two chains together instead of using a sound chain of one continuous length. I am passed the 30 day return limit but not past being angry and surprised by negligent and poor craftsmanship which has unknowingly risked the life of my dog!

Not 22" long, too small
End to end the links only measure 19 inches. Including the O rings, which shouldn't be included since that measurement has nothing to do with it fitting around a dog's neck, is only 21 inches.Going to have to return but now can't rely on sellers' measurements on these collars. Bought another (same style - I've used these collars for decades) two years ago and it's too long, but I've just dealt with it.Bought this one because I thought I was getting the right size. Which it would have been if the seller had measured correctly.

Strong enough to hold my Malamute
Looks very nice on my dog. Yes, the gold plating wears off of the rings but the collar has not turned her coat grey around her neck the way that regular "chrome" choke collars do. The collar is also better at NOT breaking the hair around her neck or wearing/rubbing it off. Most important is that she hasn't BROKEN it yet. She's only six months old, but has loped to the end of a tie out chain, wearing regular chokers, and broken them without missing a stride. As if she was wearing nothing! FYI I don't leave her tied on a choker by herself. Only when I'm working somewhere and she wants to be with me. A buckled strap collar she will slip out of, no matter how tight. No company seems to weld shut the chain links and rings on chokers any more. Maybe on HUGE chains, but that doesn't help me with a 4 to 6 month old pup wearing a 16" to 20" choker. She has broken them all! So far, this one has held!

Nice chain
I use this in the show ring for my large breed dogs. It releases well and is sturdy. Too heavy for small to medium breeds.

It’s okay
The media could not be loaded. So for starters, I do enjoy this product. It works for what I need it for and I do enjoy the colour of it. My issue is how brittle it feels. It would break very easily if enough pressure is applied so I don’t recommend if you are training a strong/large dog to stop pulling. I use it strictly for correcting positioning while doing obedience. My dog is 26lbs as well. Another issue is how to “assemble” it. With a regular check chain, you can assemble it wherever. With this product, you must assemble it at the base or it will snap. All in all, it’s a fine product but a snake chain is not ideal.

Exactement ce que je cherchais
Le collier est discret et joli et ne se prend pas dans les longs poils fins de mon lévrier afghan.
