CPU runs about 20C cooler with the Thermalright.
I bought 3 of the Thermalright AssassinX120 R SE ARGB CPU Air Coolers.2 for new computer builds and 1 to replace a Deep Cool basic CPU cooler in a prebuilt. The first 2 coolers keep the CPU around 60C during a stress test. Keeping an AMD Ryzen 5600X and a Ryzen 5600G running at about 60C at max.My 5600G came out of and HP Victus and then installed in an ASUS B450 motherboard. I needed a new cooler, and this one was priced right and had ARGB. Perfect to link up with my other fans. The 5600G under stress testing stayed within 63-65C .The 5600X originally had the stock AMD cooler when built and was running up to 85C. I bought this cooler again and it brought temperature down 20C or more under stress testing. My original pre-build was upgraded from a Ryzen 3100 to a 5600X. The basic Deep Cool cooler let the CPU get to 83C and a bit higher under stress testing. I bought the Thermalright cooler for a 3rd time knowing that it would cool the CPU much better. However, the 3rd cooler had an issue. When installing the cooler onto the brackets, one side would not screw down correctly. The resulted in the cooler not being in contact with the CPU correctly and the thermal paste not being distributed correctly. The CPU temperature ran hotter than the original cooler even at idle. I requested a replacement, and I am happy to say the replacement works as intended. The photos are CPU temperature and Clock speeds while stress testing with the Deel Cool running 83C and then the Thermalright running 20C+ cooler. CPU clock speeds between the two coolers is closer to the max with the ThermalrightAlthough the 3rd cooler was defective, the fast replacement more than makes up for the issue. The thermal paste that comes with the unit is good for one CPU. It does work and is what I used on the CPUs. However, it does get very tacky when cold and another better paste is recommended. I had issues getting the cooler off the CPU. Did not have issues with a better paste in the past.Nice cooler for the price and really does cool the CPU a good 20C under load vs stock.
