‘Curiouser and curiouser’ – fascinating mysteries to explore
Author Bill O’Neill has authored many books on Trivia and is an expert in this field! His topics include movies, football, baseball, wars, rock music, simply random trivia facts, US States, famous events in modern history, and unexplained mysteries. With a nod to providing interesting reading material while passing the time at home, Bill offers a cascade of facts and stories that address curiosity while thoroughly entertaining.Providing an overview of the topics of interest in this book, Bill outlines his content in the Introduction – ‘When it comes to unexplained mysteries, this book truly has something for everyone – history, science, the supernatural, and true crime…You’re read about mysterious lost treasures, such as the ancient Germanic warlord Alaric’s tomb and the possible location of King Solomon’s mines. Strange science mysteries are also covered, including the mysterious hexagon on Saturn and the bizarre blobs that fell on Oakville, Washington in 1994…’ Whose curiosity could resist? In Bill’s casual but solid style of writing, he shares such fascinating mysteries as a blond hair blue eye South American tribe, the missing Romanov jewels, Victorian era UFOs, the mysterious Goodyear blimp, nuclear weapons test vs. something from another world, volcanoes an asteroid or both, the existence of Tardigrades (water bears – eight-legged segmented animals that usually only measure about a half a millimeter when full grown and can survive extreme radiation and outer space that no one understands), the unexplained Shugborough Inscription, and more. Not only is the book entertaining – it is also very instructive. For those familiar with Bill O’Neill’s talent for tickling the brain, this book is a must read – one of his best. For those who are simply looking for solid entertaining reading to while away the hours, welcome to the field expert! Highly recommended – especially during these times… Grady Harp, June 22

Interesting mysteries
I enjoyed this book. Lots of interesting mysteries were presented, some I had heard of and others new. I kind of lost interest and had to push through when conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was listed as a source in one of the stories. But still, a fun, easy, and short read that led me to research several stories further.

So so read, but not too bad.
Like the rest of these books, nothing earth shattering, just simple entertainment. You could do worse so go ahead and pass some interesting time in these pages.

Who really landed first in North America ?
Another great readable Bill O'Neill book of 38 mysteries of the world. A shining example is his investigation of who were the people who first landed in North America? Bill searches and finds out they may not hwve come across the great land bridge from Asia. His investigation , entitled, The Blue Eyed Blonds were probably the first and came from elsewhere. Its worth reading the book to find out who they were, where thy came from and how they got here.

Enjoyable tour of the Unexplained
Nice, unpretentious read showcasing mysteries from all around the world. The author is an affable host, bringing us some stories that were already familiar, but quite a few that were new to me. Some are ancient mysteries, such as Atlantis, or what really happened to the dinosaurs, and others much more recent, such as the disappearance of Flight MH370, which must count as one of the most puzzling mysteries of the modern era. Each chapter is reasonably short, but nonetheless there is plenty of thought-provoking stuff to be found here.
