CTM® Palm Straw Lifeguard Hat with Wide Brim

Bought this same hat 4 years ago! He loved it so much and it lasted so long, I got him the exact same one. Great quality, very well made!

I was looking for a sturdy straw hat that could stand up to some wind, and I purchased this hat. I and 5'5" and wear a size 7 hat, and this was just too big for my head. However, it fits my 6' husband well, and he loves it. He wears it when driving the tractor or working out in the sun. This is a good sturdy hat for the right size head, but if you are on the smaller size, as I am, it will be too big. My husband talks all the time about how much he loves this hat, and it was so cheap. I just wish they made one in my size.

This is one of my better online purchases, in terms of bang for your buck. Hat is very simple, and for what I was looking for (something simple to keep the sun out) this does the job. Materials may not be the best quality, but unless you're wearing this is in a hostile environment (lots of wear and tear) its fine. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a hat to wear lightly at the beach, park, gardening etc. Probably not best for hiking, camping, etc.

I have a fairly large noggin and the brim is actually a slight bit larger than my head. It rests on the top of the head and doesn't shift a whole lot so I'm really quite happy with it. With fair skin and a love of the outdoors, this hat provides a great deal of shade while being comfortable. It should also be noted that brim can be pushed up and will stay in that position indefinitely. The material seems pretty durable and I'm hoping it will last a while.

We're just talking about a reasonable inexpensive hat for the sun but in every category I could think of, this hat exceeds expectations. Quality, functionality, appearance and value for the dollar are just a few areas where my expectations were easily surpassed. Get yourself one. You will enjoy it for years.

The brim is exactly 4.5 inches all the way around. The product headline states the brim is 5.0 inches and the features states 5.25 inches. It does not provide enough sun protection below eye level or sides of face at 4.5 inches for a female. I ordered specifically for the large brim size advertised- and now only seeing there are two different sizes on the product page but still too short for face coverage at 4.5 inches as the actual brim size.

I measured my head at 23" but the hat fits pretty loose.

Could not be more disappointed -- the hat is very very cheaply made, was a different model from the one pictured here, and came bent and broken with a hole in it. The shipping box was undamaged -- meaning that the vendor knowingly shipped damaged goods to me. Sending it back immediately

Disappointed in the quality. Purchased to replace a Quicksilver lifeguard hat I had loved... This was nowhere near the same quality, more like a dollar store find.
