Gave this to my grandchildren (3 and 5) for Christmas and they love it.

This is a great screen-free activity that gets kids up and moving. The game keeps my kids entertained for no more than a few minutes at a time, but it's easy enough for them to get out by themselves and start it. It gets difficult real quick especially for my 4 1/2 year old, but she still plays with it and enjoys it nonetheless. I do wish it folded down a little flatter to take up less storage space.

A great gift for the whole family

Works perfectly, can hook up an iPad and play our own playlist if we want. A 3 year old & 8 year old had a blast!

My nephew loves to dance; he's always moving and will put on music with his family's Alexa and just dance away (8yo). We got this with him in mind. While it works as described, I can't help but foresee it getting old and collecting dust after a very short while, even while supplying new/different music via the aux. As a freestyle, move your feet pad, obviously it won't prescribe thoughtful dance steps to random music put into it. The 6yo younger brother, likewise danced on it, but it's in a weird skill gap - the dance modes (like memory steps or prescribed dance patters) are a little too complex for 6 and under, but once you hit the point where you can understand those game modes, you're basically ready for a game like "Just Dance" with a larger library and more defined skill grade; you can also just freestyle those songs, too, if you like. When just freestyling, the pad was just abandoned after a short while so the kiddos just danced around the room - not wanting to be tied down to a pad that counted their foot pressing. That held some interest for a while, but again, either they don't want the pad to track what they are doing, in favor of just dancing/moving, or they want the pad to tell them what to do, and this just isn't enough if compared to something like "Just Dance". It brings back nostalgia to my DDR days, but misses the mark even when compared to that.If you have a game console, you'd be better off for longevity of kid's ability, and not becoming obsolete sooner, by just getting a dance game - it's cheaper than this pad, anyways if you already have tracking via Nintendo Switch or Xbox Kinect. Those games can do all this can and more, at a comparable price point, depending on what startup equipment you have. Frankly, my nephews already have an Xbox; I would have come out financially ahead by just buying a refurbished Kinect and an old copy of "Just Dance" for them, and gotten more functionality and longevity in the end.There's nothing particularly defective about what they made or how it works... those are pretty much fine. But in application, consider other options and you might be better off.

I got this mat as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. It was a hit with the girls. It seems well made and easy to put away. The sound was fine it could be turned down or up. I really like how it works well with motor skills, following directions. If you have little ones buy this mat they will love it and you.

Chose the Light-Up version.Picked this up hoping to make the Kid's Christmas and I'm happy to report it was a huge success! The six year old and the three year old were super eager to get this out of the box. There were some solid folding marks on first opening that are still visible now, but I imagine they'll smooth out in time.The Pad itself is of a decent material, the lights are bright and colorful, and the various controls are simple to use. There are plenty of challenge modes to keep it interesting for a while, though I was a bit disappointed to find that the prepackaged songs aren't more than 30/60 second loops—but the kids were fine with that.I would highly suggest using this on a carpet, as it slipped around far too much on hardwood floors. Maybe some rug gripper material underneath would help. I'm also a little disappointed that it didn't come with a bag or better form of storage. Folding it and stuffing it into a box every time is pretty clunky.
