I had a problem with the first soldering gun I purchased and when the company found out they went way out of their way to make it right. I highly highly recommend purchasing from this company because they take care of their customers!! Soldering gun worked greatBut had a slight defect and they took care of it quickly

Good value
Overall, this is a nice tool, works well, and a very good value. The iron heats up quite quickly, and is very lightweight. While temperature is adjustable, it is only in increments of 50 F -for general work, this is probably adequate. I did find that I often inadvertently pressed a button changing the temperature, since the buttons are the natural gripping point of the iron. Not a big deal, just something to get used to.

Garbage only worked twice
Not 80w. The buttons are not a benefit but an issue. Tried to cope, got one pcb job done well and upon firing up the second time it wont even get hot enough for solder to melt when applied directly to it, forget trying to heat a component and apply solder. Will be returning.

Does not seem like 80 watts
Bought this to assemble some 12 power cables. Even on high temps, will barely get the work hot enough to solder. Good for small, light weight wiring only. My 20+ year old 60 watt Weller works better on the larger wires.

Works as described
I'm pleasantly surprised by this. It works fairly well and was very inexpensive. I had ordered irons that were more expensive and had to return them for various reasons. This one I will be keeping.

Dead after 2 uses, no customer support
I purchased this soldering iron in March 2023, used it twice and now completely dead. Contacted the seller and 3 times exact same canned response: Dear Customer.Please contact Amazon after-sales team to change a new product for you!Best wishes!I contacted Amazon, they said I have to deal with the seller for their 1 year warranty so now just going in circles.Look for another seller to buy from on Amazon!
