Fantastic sound and surprised by its power
This is an excellent device that deserves more notoriety than it currently has. I found the sound quality fantstic for both my Meze 109 and Arya Stealth Edition. Both not particularly hard to drive but also models that scale with quality equipment.I think I also prefer it to my Chord Mojo, which is still a great device and not made obsolete by its successor Mojo 2. I might need more time to come to a definitive conclusion but I like better the 2 level gain and the extra bass button. The soundstage is excellent and it does not make me miss my desktop amplifiers. Fiio got a big winner here. I wish it also had BT LDAC and in that case it would get close to perfection.

Great little headphone dac/amp for iPhone
I picked up this little amp so I can connect my sennheiser iems and Meze open back phones to my iPhone.I chose this model specifically as it came with the relevant OTG cable for a lightening iPhone model.I’m pleased to say it generally works as expected and produces excellent sound quality.Build seems solid, and the volume knov seems sturdy and has satisfying resistance in the pot.I have noticed that sometimes the audio stops however. I think this may be the result of the iPhone lightning cable rather than the unit itself, so I ordered a replacement, and slightly longer fiio lightening cable which so far has proven reliable.I also don’t believe the battery life is accurate as I reckon I’ve had maybe 7-8 hrs before needing to recharge rather than 10-12 advertised, and neither pair of headphones I use with it are difficult to drive.Overall very pleased with my purchase as a first foray into headphone amps Although now I have the bug to look into future upgrades.

Google Pixel users BEWARE
If you own a Pixel phone beware. This product will do no more than the £10 Google pixel headphone adapter. Why? Well it seems that pixel phones will not allow you to bypass the internal DAC that is locked at 24bit-44hz. It will be nothing more than a £140 headphone amp that will provide a bit more volume than the cheap headphone adapter. As a result the indicator light will never change to yellow etc as you will be locked to one level of audio quality. I will say that I also tried this device on my new windows 11 desktop and it was also a nightmare to try to update and also play anything above 192k on it. Again the light never changed to yellow to say it was playing at higher bitrates. In the end I just ended up using my HD660s with the Google dongle or one of my Sony CD walkmans which to be honest sounds great.

Does its job
Bought it for iPhone originally for Hi-Res Apple Music but now with Tidal, did the job for increasing my listening experience on street. It only last two months after it suddenly could not be detected by all my iPhones. Now I can only use it with my Macbook and iPad, not portable anymore. Contacted the support team, and they are recommending to send me another lightning cable from them which I threw away because of the low audio quality comparing with the Apple original lightning cable. Looked through the reviews and now I might need to look for a good male lightning to female type-c adaptor, then a type-c to type-c cable.
