Bought these for when friend visits with her toddler. They occupied his interest. He used the box they shipped in as a construction base. They fit back into accompanying storage bag with some maneuvering. He stood on one, kicked several, knocked down the structures he built several times and generally was a kid doing rough kid things. Nothing broke, shed bits or frayed. He likes them. Foamlike but definitely not silent or soft. Very light to move about. Do not travel far when thrown. Vacuum first, they do pick up dog hair. Happy boy, happy host, good purchase, a little spendy.
