Barista-Quality Coffee at Home – A Sleek and Effortless Capsule Machine!
Review:The Versuni PHILIPS L'OR Barista Sublime Capsule Coffee Machine has completely elevated my coffee routine! It’s sleek, compact, and fits perfectly on my kitchen counter, but the real magic is in the coffee it brews. Whether it’s an espresso, lungo, or a double shot, the machine consistently delivers rich, aromatic coffee with a silky crema that feels like it’s straight from a café.One of my favorite features is its compatibility with both L’OR capsules and Nespresso Original pods, giving me so many options to experiment with different flavors. It’s incredibly easy to use—just pop in a capsule, press a button, and enjoy barista-quality coffee in seconds. The dual capsule size system is also a big plus, letting me make single or double shots depending on my mood.Cleanup is a breeze, and the machine heats up quickly, so I can enjoy my coffee without any hassle. If you’re a coffee lover looking for a convenient, high-quality way to enjoy your favorite brews at home, this machine is a total game-changer!

Smart, efficient capsule machine - recommended!
The media could not be loaded. First impressions are very good, the machine comes well packaged with easy to follow set up instructions and a nice selection of test pods.It makes excellent coffee and is certainly just as good as my previous Citiz Nespresso machine. In my experience while the noise it makes when making the coffee is noticeable it is no louder than the Nespresso machine. The option to use the larger capsules wasn’t the reason why I bought the machine but it is a great option and having tested the larger capsules it is a feature I may use in the future. It is very well designed and looks really good in the kitchen. It’s not particularly high or bulky but with the water container at the back it is quite long so a bit of planning re placement is needed. So far I have tried a variety capsules with excellent results from all of them. It makes great coffee and that is obviously the main thing. It seems to deliver the coffee faster than my previous machine but the drips take longer to subside. If you’re looking for a good value capsule machine that works well it’s definitely a great option. I’m very pleased with it.

Great coffee maker for those on a budget!
I bought this coffee maker back in December 2023 and have been using it for almost 6 months now. I can confidently say it is a great piece of equipment that works well and efficiently! It warms up fast and pours coffee even faster. It’s also easy and convenient to take apart to clean (see picture). It’s also very useful that the tray under where the coffee comes out is removable so you can put taller glasses under it with ease.Furthermore it’s compatible with many different brands of coffee pods which means there’s a variety of flavours to choose from (see last image where pictured are lor pods, starbucks pods and lidl pods).I bought it for £50 around Christmas time and would say it was definitely a fair price for what it is.The only con is that the coffee it makes is not very hot, in fact I would say it comes out luke warm at best. I usually only drink iced coffee (this lor machine is great for making iced coffee using just a regular espresso pod!) so it’s not a huge problem for me. When I have tried to make a hot coffee, the coffee seems to be steaming and hot when it pours but once any amount of milk is added it is immediately cooled and the final cup of coffee is cold (which I find is not the case with my parent’s Nespresso pod machine).Overall I would say this machine is worth the money if you enjoy iced coffee or you don’t mind luke warm coffee or have a milk frother/something to heat up the milk.

Brilliant coffee machine, fantastic value
Bought this after our old Nespresso original machine developed a leak.Extremely pleased with it, the build quality is excellent, it looks sleek and the water tank is solid, removable and/or easy to refill in place. There are three buttons on the top for small/medium/large dispense. You can press these buttons more than once with the same pod to top up your mug if you like.Heats up & dispenses quickly. The internal container for used pods is fairly large too, fits about 8 pods before it needs emptying. Easy to remove & wash too.And don't worry about the fact that there's two nozzles, you just bung a mug under it and it just dispenses from them both.Perfect for the morning start, absolutely love it.This machine takes Nespresso original pods - which are now available at decent quality & prices from Aldi/Lidl etc. Honestly don't see why they made different pod types, like Vertuo etc., the originals are best. The only thing I'd mention is that the handle you lift on the top to put pods into needs some free space above the unit, so it might not open fully if placed under a kitchen cabinet.Extra tip - most original pods are aluminium and can be recycled easily if you buy one of the various recycling tools - just search amazon for 'nespresso pod recycler' or similar - you can just squash the pod to separate the case from the coffee grinds and compost the latter, recycle the former.
