VERY small. OK for one person only!

This is my first try on a kitchen appliance that is more fit for a doll house for a little girl than for a fully functional kitchen. Miniature cooking appliances are not for serious cooking. The housing leaks food when you shut the waffle maker even with smaller amounts but the most important aspect is this item does not cook food through. It cooks only for a mere 4-5 minutes , hence does not allow for potatoes or batter to cook well enough - it is still raw. There is no temperature control or gauge to indicate the temperature - you will only know it is hot by touching it briefly. According to the instruction booklet, when the light is on the appliance is on and cooking however the light does not stay on long and even when the light is on the waffle maker is still cooking. Even with prolonged cooking the food takes about 20 minutes to cook but not crisp or brown properly. The instruction booklet also stated to preheat the appliance about 10 minutes before attempting the first cook and the chemical smell would burn off. I did follow the instruction and found that the smell came back as the item was on prolong cooking. Please be aware that the chemical smell is coming out because the appliance cannot be used for longer than 45 minutes of cooking. Again do not aspect much for the size of the appliance. Unfortunately, and with much regret I had to return it.

I bought this mainly for the removeable plates and the small size. I have a large waffle maker but rarely need to make 4 large waffles at a time. This single waffle maker is PERFECT. Love the size especially for the grandkids, super easy to assemble, take apart and clean. The best part, I struggle with one grandchild eating healthy, I use the waffle recipe but use the donut plates. They think they are eating donuts but they are waffles..................

I’ve only used this a couple times and I am happily surprised. I’ve made a veggie burger and grilled cheese which was tasty and took about 8 minutes each. I’ve made eggs 3 ways and was pleased each time. Fried was good, came out over medium. Scrambled was better. I could have folded in hand with cheese for mini omelet, but I ate both the fried and scrambled in sandwiches. My favorite was stuffed French toast. I spread cream cheese between 2 pieces of bread, dipped in egg and milk sprinkled with cinnamon. Yum! This is not going to feed an entire family conveniently, but it is awesome for me. I house sit on occasion and like to camp. I need something small, multi purpose, easy to clean, and convenient. The plates are easy to remove and clean. It did smoke for a minute when I plugged it in for the first time, but hasn’t since. So far, I am pretty happy with my purchase.

Worked great at first, only used a few times and then it stopped working. I loved the fact that it had removable plates that made it so easy to clean. I really wanted to love this.

After a while, 6 months or so, this started to "leak". You can clean it all you want, but somehow the oil/food etc leaks inside somewhere and then will leak out onto your counter or cupboard.Worse, I thought there was food stuck in the hinge. Nope. It's the WIRING popping thru!

I originally thought this was a good product. It worked so well the first time and was easy to clean. It stopped working after the first use. It just wouldn't get hot enough to cook and the indicator light stopped working. Sending it back. I won't bother getting another one. So disappointed.After returning the defective item, then I get an email from LECHEF wanting to help with the problem. I so much wanted this mini waffle maker to work but afraid to order a new one only to have it not work. If LECHEF wants to send me a new one for free I would be happy to try it again and rewrite my review accordingly.
