This shaker is beautiful and sounds great! I wish I had gotten at least one more. I'm using them in a drum circle at our local nursing homes, along with drums and other instruments. They do have a fragile nature, being that they are made by hand, so be gentle with them. I'm so glad that the African Heartwood Project is doing so much to help the African communities. Absolutely gorgeous! I just received mine and the sound is hypnotic. It's lightweight, and feels good in the hand. The handle is flexible and...soft? Let me just say I wouldn't expect callouses after rigorous use. I can't wait to use it in a few weeks. It's going to be put to the test.Will update review after two six-hour days of rites and dancing. For the price, it should hold up just fine.

They sound amazing but they are very hard to hold if you have small hands. 🤣

Fantastic! These are really beautifully made, and gorgeously colored, and will work great for dancers who will keep rhythm in a production on stage that I'm doing--I think they'd be GREAT fun for kids as well, with the added benefit they are really instruments, not toys, and so can really be used to make serious music!!! Fantastic program also--glad that this group exists. Will come back to browse and doubtless purchase more in future.

I was looking for a small version for my baby, but overall it's good. It makes the sound of pinto beans in a container. The product is relatively light. It has a good feel too, and the colors are just like the picture, vibrant. It definitely grabs visitors attention at the house, asking what it is, and shaking it. Great addition to our foreign cool instruments.

It serves the purpose I bought it for...my 4 year old who is very interested in anything percussion. But either I dont know how to "shake it" right or it's just kinda thrown together with no thought for real balance or playability. Hard to keep a clean rhythm going with it....but my daughter loves it so ok.

Happy with product. Great addition to our drum circle. Great sounds. My shaker came in a bright purple which I wasn't to thrilled with but still glad I purchased.

Great shakers to have in addition to the 2 Toca shakers I have that are really loud these are just right. Nice sound and the product I received was just as pictured.
