No idea if the cats will like it since I've been playing with it since it got here
OK, first of all, this thing comes in this teensy weensy little box that makes you think "well great, can't wait to return this" and then you open it up and it kind of expands like a slinky. The two end pieces click together and then the "donut" appears and it's nuts crazy cool. I think the cats will like it, but they are going to have to steal it from me because I have just discovered a new fidget toy for adults. Great idea, Fantastic execution. Will have a follow up if I ever let the cats play with it to let folks know if they love it as much as I do.

Cats wouldn’t even look at it
It’s very small cardboard! You have to stretch it but even then it goes back to being really small. It might be good for a young, tiny kitten but that’s it. Even my smallest cat who is 10 years and barely 8lbs was too big to interact with it. The youngest cat I have- 1.5 years old and still wild- played with the ball but only when it was out of the cardboard thing. Other two cats wouldn’t even look at it! Totally waste of money. Marketing got me again I guess!

Patience is key
Straight to the point:It takes a little while for your kittens to warm up to it (emphasis on kittens, cats accustomed to toys may be different) but once they get it, they get it. You have to demonstrate how it's used. Using catnip on older cats is highly effective. Turn the toy inside out so they have to "search" for the all inside.3 stars because they tore that toy up in no more than 2-3months. Idk the estimation for how long it should last. If it were cheaper, 4 stars, since you have to keep replacing the thing.

I would pass on this.
I think this was a fun idea for the cats. My cats didn't give a care about this at all. One is way to small. I got two and put them together. Thats the correct size for a kitten. For an adult cat I would need to get 4 or more. I ended up giving this to a friend whose kittens liked it.I would not suggest to others as you need to buy too many to get the correct size. Once you get the correct size I would glue the magnets together as they come apart easily.

The actual item is FAR smaller than the photo indicates.
The photo of. a cat sitting on the top of this toy is very deceptive. The toy itself is not large enough for even a very small kitten to perch on it. Something the size of a small mouse might sit on it but certainly not the smallest of cats. Nevertheless, it's a simple but effective entertainment that my kittens enjoy.

Great distraction for a rambunctious kitten
The media could not be loaded. When my kitten's no longer feeling sleepy, he quickly turns into a little troublemaker. He gets into places he's not supposed to, he climbs on people and furniture, he scratches and (lightly) bites, and he refuses to take no for an answer. If that sounds familiar, you might want to consider this.I was looking for something occupy all that energy for a moment when I stumbled across this fun little marvel, and all I can say is so far so good. The kitten took to it immediately, curiously and stubbornly batting the ball around and trying to remove it. It was a full half hour before he took a break to use the box, attack a different toy, and eat some food. Ten minutes later, he was back at it again.I can't speak to how well this product works for an older cat, or how long it lasts, but at least initially it's a great outlet for an energetic young kitten.

My cat keeps returning to it.
My cat loves this toy. I take the ball out and let him play with it then take the ball from him and stick in the toy.

Two cats… neither of them interested
Bought this for my kitten who just turned one and my 8 year old calico. I thought the video’s looked like something they would like. Boy was I wrong! Total waste of money as neither one of them was the least bit interested in this toy. To entice them as it was something different for them I put lots of catnip on it…still not the least bit interested. Long story short, it went in the garbage because my dog thought it was just great for him to pee on!
